I've got an LG OLED from 2017 and non-OLED TV quality just doesn't come close. I got the 55" but I feel that my next TV would be 65". Highly recommend

Yep, Got the C1 55" (Limited on space) a while back and i love it. Now that i've moved and have more room, my upgrade will be a 65" for sure.

    • Amazing TV at an amazing price. Thanks OP - got one.

  • Great TV. Very happy with mine after a month of viewing.

  • The 42 inch is $2295? It doesn't make any sense.

    • 1395 now, but i swear its always been at 1395.

      • Nah it jumped up a few days ago, I think was an error

It’s been sub $2000 quite a few times before.

  • Re: Fetchie. Is it possible to set notifications for specific price drops? Like Camelx3.

You can set notifications for specific products and can enable/disable notifications on per product level. The feature to set rules like "notify only if price drops by more than certain percentage" is in the product roadmap.

They only have stores in WA, SA and NT. While delivery is indeed an option, I prefer shopping with someone who also got a physical store that I can walk in to sort out any issues - obviously I am speaking as someone living in NSW.

You can always do a price match and then pick it from your local store.

        • Where's the best/easiest place to do price match?

          • +1

@Andrew0415: I have price matched at JB Hi Fi several times using the online chat. You just need to share the link of the advertised product with a lower price and generally they are good about it but every now and then you will find someone who will say no so you just try again with a different person. I have also had success price matching with HN using their chat as well..

Great TV but as others have said, it has been much cheaper before (something like $1884 was cheapest, from memory). I helped a friend negotiate one for less than $2k a month ago when it was ticketed at this price, so you might be able to do so again. The store rep said LG want all their 2022 models cleared out by end of April so the 2023 models can come in and not compete. So bargain hard in store, don't bargain hard in the OzBargain forums! 🙂

  • best tv ive ever used

  • I went to JB today trying to negotiate lower on the C2 42". they are $1395. Would not budge. They know these are good and are popular.
Looking to replace my Philips 43" 4k monitor. disappointed with it really.

    • Good to know as I've considered trying to get them back down to that ~$1000 price I missed out on. Hopefully once C3 arrives they might do a clearance. Maybe I can use the 55 as a monitor and just set it further back? haha

    • I tried 2 stores.

First one wouldn't budge from $1382 stating she couldn't back date sales and it was already on sale from ~$2k. Didn't seem interested in the making a sale so I said thanks and left.

The 2nd place offered $1390 so i think I'll wait till the C3 seeing as it's coming out next month.

  • Can this TV play video files from a USB stick without any issues? Like mp4 / h264 videos?

I'm helping a friend find a new TV, it's not for me.

Also… I'm guessing it's not possible to record free-to-air TV on this? Is an external PVR still needed for recording TV? How is everyone recording TV these days?
