    Ex-mining means 24x7 for years?

    • +26

Yes, but after a quick wash with a pressure washer and then sun-dried they still look good.

      • +1

They can even buff out the corrosions with WD-40 I believe, seen a video somewhere about cleaning ex-mined GPUs and they literally look brand new after it

      • +3

oh yea. as long as it looks good

    • +3

Most miners are FIFO so hopefully you get one from a good roster

  • Damn seems like they've liquidated a bunch of them

  • +10

    Maybe 200 then deal.

    • +6

      exactly.
cant believe they asking almost $400, ridiculous

  • +2

    lol

Would avoid buying from this seller in the future. Bought a 6600 which I just recieved today, yes I understand these are ex-mining but the fans on the card absolutely suck. One of them just pulses and never turns on and the other one has a horrible grinding sound. Requested a return for either a replacement or a refund which seller accepted however when I messaged him politely asking whether I would be recieveing a replacement/refund for this card, I simply didn't get a response.

    • +7

I totally understand it would be frustrating receiving a defect item, but as you mentioned you just received today so it probably will take a day or two for them to respond you

      • +7

still. for them to send out trash like that.

        thanks for sharing

        their advert:
3 Months return to base warranty.

        EX mining card.

        Tested working with no issues.

        tested my a55

        • +1

Yeah that's totally sellers fault for "tested working"

      • That is a good point but the seller accepted my return but didn't reply to my message which I sent before requesting a return which seems a little weird to me.

        • Yeah that definitely sounds odd, they probably didn't want you leave a negative feedback so they accept your request straight away. They should hire some more people for the customer service lol

Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, being busy with orders in the daytime, will start replying messages now.

      • Sorry to ask something unrelated since I could not get a response from neither your previous Ozbargain post nor your eBay message (I know you guys are busy)

Could you please give an update on whether the replacement fans for the HP G4 Z4 machines have arrived and if there's an ETA on when the machines will be shipped?

        Thanks in advance

        • Hi mate, all z4 g4 machines have been picked up by auspost yesterday (Thursday), so you should get it sometime next week!

geez.. this thing was $1k.. i miss that time

  • +3

3070 at this price would be better

  • Funny how on the 4th item picture the card still has the seal sticker on the spring screw lol

    • Don't worry, that'll buff right out with a nice polyester cloth. Get the pins while you're there, a shiny GPU is a speedy GPU.

    • The 6700 xt I purchased from them still had it. Means they hadn't been tampered with. I haven't had a problem with them and would happily buy from them again.

  • +1

Ex crypto mining means its got its arse kicked buy at your own risk for a failed card

    • +1

LTT did a video on these ex-mining cards. doesn't seem to be a problem. (not trying to help the seller in anyway)

  • +3

Let them keep collecting dust in there storage.
Have not seen a blue colourful card for sale here in Aus, mush be one of those presser washer asia models we missed.

  • Tagging @MetroCom

How is this anything more than daylight robbery? This is considered a deal?

  • +1

Sounds good, got a 3070ti for $550 from metrocom for ex mining card last year and going good still.

  • +1

If anyone is seriously considering this, I believe the best of the $386.32 3060 Ti's that MetroCom is selling would be the Gainward Ghost model with better cooling performance.

OP has linked the worst card, the Colorful iCafe model (blue cooler) with locked TGP. The Colorful Battle Axe model (red cooler) should be better being a retail model.

The more expensive cards from other brands are not worth the extra money, especially the Gigabyte Eagle (awful awful card).
