  • Nice one, guess it's price protection time.

    • +5

      With who? 28° excludes watches

      • +1

Yep, that's sad. Anyway, thanks, good to know.

      • +1

For me the exclusion is for merchandise protection not price.

        • Interesting. It does mention under price protection:

jewellery, precious metals and precious stones

But watches are called out on their own under merchandise protection

          • watches
          • jewellery, precious metals and precious stones

I'll try a claim and see how it goes

      • +1

I've had Casio G-Shocks price reduction claims approved.

  • +2

Damn…good price for Seiko 5 GMT. orange dial is $100 more.

  • +14

Where is the guy that said at under $600 he would buy. I'm bloody tempted too.

  • +1

damn… this one is bloody hard.. man… gmt what a price

  • +2

    That GMT is tempting!

Fully acknowledge I said this the other day:

  • This is a very nice watch.

They're still putting the Spaceview in the weekend sale. I wish they were smaller.

  • +4

Bought! Thanks OP! People asked and Starbuy delivered the goods 🙌 can’t ask more than that from a company.

  • First the black and now the blue. I’ve been watching the price on the orange slip lower and lower. But ooh baby, I’ll wait for a weekend deal.

  • +1

Yup bought! The panda is the one i've been waiting for

    • Congratulations. Me too

      • Me three. A nice consolation knowing I'll never be able to justify a Panda Daytona…. :-)

  • +2

Seiko 5 GMT at that price is a steal, shame I already have Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Ice Blue on pre order at double price :( .

    • Can’t cancel it?

      • I can , I want both though lol,
Tissot is more dressier and easier to dress up or down, so Seiko will have to wait for a next time unfortunately, but I would highly recommend that watch at that price as there aren't many GMT watches under $1K mark especially Seiko 5 which has a bit of history and appeal behind it.

    • That ice blue looks SO GOOD!

    • +1

      PRX is way cooler

    • The exact two watches I want. Pulled the trigger on the GMT at this price

    • When is it coming out? Maybe it's still got several months so you can justify both.

  • +2

Had to pull the trigger on the Panda. It's like StarBuy have a direct feed to my brain as of late.

    • -1

      They are watching always…

    • Yeah. I'm not a watch person but starbuys deals now have me wanting a $2000 alpina… It's so beautiful..

  • +2

Bought! Thanks for sharing, this is a brilliant price point for a very special watch for anyone thinking to pull the trigger.

  • +1

    Great deal as always champ

  • Phew! Luckily I already have a Panda.. 😅Although, not 1 with tachymeter..

I think my next few watch purchases will though.. 🤣

  • +1

I recently purchased the Ice blue version. I reluctant to buy the white color since its not shiny on the dial. This is a great price overall

  • +2

    Citizen Gold Digi-Ana JG2103-72X
who on earth would buy such a thing? and then who on earth could pull off wearing it?

    mind explosion

    • I reckon a pimp could pull off wearing something like that.

    • +1

I have the silver and gold, and will buy the black when on sale. Not hard to pull off, have worn both

  • +4

    I’m liking the Digi-Ana!

    • +4

      I kind of want one.
I could have my own little C-3PO on my wrist.

      • +1

        Do it, it's dope

  • Love mine.

Paid a few dollars more at Starbuy 6 months ago.

  • +1

Oh no.. another day…. another watch :(

    • I'm relieved there's nothing in this weekend's sale that I must have. I'll need a while to recover from last week's titanium-fueled purchase

      • +1

Same. But the bit fat one on yellow rubber is interesting. 6mm crystal!

        • 300m! i'm not keen on integrated straps though especially when you want a different strap for more low-key situations lol

and i'm surprised it only comes in the boring standard citizen box, not that adorable scuba tank packaging they put some promasters (like my nb6004) in.

          • @tdw: I got one of those with my gold Yachtmaster or something, but I sold it. I should have kept it. I always sell shit then regret it later, but at the same time I buy more than I sell and I can't just buy another 24 count watch box every few months.

            • @rosebank: fear of future regrets is why i can't get sell anything :\

              • +1

@tdw: There's no good place to buy/sell/swap watches for Aussies, like fun weird shit. I don't have FB, but my friend is in many groups and it looks terrible. I'm going to make a forum. You can be a mod.

                • @rosebank: selling stuff is a pain in general with so many scammers out there. that, and i find people's taste in things - not just watches - is so herd-driven. i think you'd be onto something! i'll be your ruthless mod haha

  • +2

Made an account to mention that your link to the weekend flash sale has me on the cusp of purchasing this watch. I think it’s stunning - with a brown leather strap though, but also Botswana (the country which the watches namesake is found) is home to my some of my fondest travel memories in my younger days. So tempting!

    • I like that Oris is inspired by nature in the same way Grand seiko's are.
It's a beautiful dial and IMO worth every dollar.
if you can afford it go for it.

    • +6

Welcome to Ozbargain. Nice watch, either get that or the Skmei 1628.

      • +1

        or the Skmei 1628.

        🤦

      • +1

Lifetime supply of skmei 1628 for 2000 clams

I know which i would prefer

    • That's a nice dial and Oris are a pretty cool brand if you look at their history.

    • First saw the region on the Top Gear special. Amazing place!
