  • Looking for a dishwasher myself. Which one did you choose?

Havent decided yet, looking at the cheapest under built option which G5000 series .. Still trying to justify the price tag to myself.. I am keen on Asko too with their clearance sale but horrible reviews on product review website. Also considering Bosch (series 6)..But with 10 year warranty, might just splurge a little and buy Miele

Miele dishwasher is the only Miele product worth purchasing imo.

Just wondering if you have other Miele products. We have a Miele fridge, washing machine, vacuums, and dishwasher. The fridge was bought because it fitted into the slot that had previously held a Liebherr and Bosch that both died. The current dishwasher replaced a 23 year old Miele dishwasher that was still working but getting a tad noisy. The Miele vacuums are better than the Dyson we bought. The current 15 year old washing machine is a replacement for our thirteen year old Miele that developed a regulation issue with the spinner. The washing machine repair guy was going to refurbish it to resell.

Just wondering what your background is for holding those views.

IMHO Miele should, always, have the ten year warranty for appliances. They are expensive but they seem to last.

Had a fridge which was ok but nothing special and very expensive, so wouldn't recommend.

Washing machines the same thing, overpriced and reliability was less than the Electrolux we had before and after it.

2 Dishwashers have been great, recommend them.

Vacuum (S8) is still going but nothing special and it was almost $1000 10 years ago. For a little more I recently installed a full ducted system that works much better. For a lot less I could have got another brand (not Dyson) that would have been similar performance and longevity.

        Hence my original comment.

        • No probs. Thanks for the update. YMMV.

  • Thanks OP, looking to buy a 60cm freestanding dishwasher (stainless steel finish) ASAP.

Tossing up between Bosch series 6 or 8 (Made in Germany ones) OR a Miele (super tempting given 10 year warranty).

    • Anyone managed to find Miele dishwasher on sale or discount? Full price everywhere (just free delivery if ordering directly from miele.com.au)

Miele actually sells products through other places. They hold the pricing very tight. You could try a Miele demo centre and see if they have some the are clearing out.

As far as understand all authorised sales agents are just submitting the order into Miele system so the price is whatever is in Miele system.

These sales agents are David Jones, Bing Lee, Winning Appliances and etc - the full list is on Miele website.

I wonder if any of these agents can offer something else like their store credit or gift card or discount on other brand product if you order Miele through them.

Been running Miele around the house for about 10 years now (washing, dryer, induction, oven, hybrid/microwave, dishwasher) All I can say is, I can’t go back to another brand. Stuff doesn’t skip a beat and we use everything regularly.

Tried Bosch “made in Germany” previously, had a washing machine that lasted 4 years before the chip that runs the programs decided to go haywire - Bosch didn’t want to hear about it and replacement part was about $500. Not going there again.

If you can compare Miele vs Bosch in an auto analogy, it’s Porsche vs BMW. Ones a high yield investment (sometimes!) other loses all the value once you drive it off the lot.

  • Very timely. Had a repaired Kleenmaid h hour several years. Just bought a secondhand Dishlex a few weeks ago that didn't seem to heat so might be time to add to my Miele collection.

    So many options though.

  • Been waiting for this deal for a while now.
And they jacked up all prices while I was waiting.
Pretty pissed about it now. :|
    My fault I guess anyway.

  • Any thoughts on the TWF720WP + WWG660 for $5k? Honestly all of these fancy functions sound like microwaves to me, but the convenience of TwinDos is probably what I'm going for. We don't even split whites/colors, let alone cottons and silks or whatevs. I also can't really see the diff between WWG, WCD, WWD… 😅 These might be overkill but seeking low maintenance, longevity and peace of mind of the warranty.

Expecting this to serve a household of 5-6.
