Can this be combined with the Bunnings Welcome Pack promotion?

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/onepass

Also how do people find this service? Is it worthwhile? Do things get shipped with Auspost?

    • +2

"Can this be combined with the Bunnings Welcome Pack promotion?"

Plus for a limited time, when you link your Bunnings and OnePass accounts you are eligible to receive a Welcome Pack*

Should be fine, you only need to link it together, you sign up via the OnePass site anyway I believe.

    • PSA:

OnePass cannot be used in conjunction with PowerPass

    • +3

      Yes it can.

How things are shipped would depend on where you are and which store you are buying from. For me Kmart use Aus Post, Target use Couriers Please, Catch use Aus Post generally.

I haven't used it for Bunnings, due to the high order threshold I would go in store. You can also pay by gift card and use Powerpass as well if you have it.

It's very handy for Kmart where almost everything is included for odds and ends you might need. Target and Catch it can come in handy, but I wouldn't get it for just that unless you shop there reguarly.

    • +6

Kind of annoying that Bunnings has a minimum spend of $80 to be eligible for onepass free shipping. It really should be like $50

      • Yeah I had assumed it was just free shipping like Target and Kmart.

    • +3

I normally use with catch and I think it's worth it. Saves me a couple bucks and with catch it is AusPost.

I normally cancel though and go again for a good deal since I don't buy stuff every month but this looks like it would cover the few purchases I do a year.

    • Have not used it for bunnings but I did link it and get the welcome pack. 3 free keys cut, 3 hot drinks and I think a $10 voucher.

      Definitely worth getting one pass.

      • Out of curiosity, is there an expiry on the key/drink vouchers? Not really needing any keys cut at the moment but probably will at some point in the next 12 months.

      • Spending 30 bucks for buying this welcome pack and supporting their 'deal', worth it?

(One pass) catch.com doesnt do free return like amazon or iconic. i learnt that the hard way recently with the hoka shoes. fyi

  • +38

This is such a worthless subscription. So many exclusions to what is free shipping and many things on Catch aren't even included.

    • +7

I'm guessing this is because Catch does the dodgy when they lower prices and then up the postage costs. It happened to me once when ordering some pillows that were on sale. As such I don't ever look at Catch anymore.

      • +7

Catch used to be alright but then got bought out……same old same old story when things get bought out by a passionless corpo.

    • Yes, bought some things from Catch using one pass but since they were all from marketplace sellers none came with free shipping. Onepass had emailed a $30 Catch voucher the week before so the $29 shipping was technically ‘free’.

get one pass for free bunnings vouchers and gift card

  • Thinking, might combine this with the (targeted) NAB cash back offer

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/769391

Might actually be worth it for a tenner for the year

    • +1

I am not sure is using promo code to sign-up will work with NAB offer. It would be good if someone can confirm.

    • +2

I was thinking that too, but looking at the T&Cs it says the following which would make it ineligible: That the minimum dollar value of the transaction is $40.

      • Thanks. Good pick up.

Not sure the $20 fee is worth it.

  • +1

Catch is good for those in Perth. Get those things delivered Express Post for $2 more. Just have to be aware their returns process isn't change of mind like Amazon.

    • +1

Wait really, ive been avoiding Catch coz shipping took ages years ago.

Is it faster than Aliexpress? Ali has been amazing (less than 1-2 weeks) for cheap items.

      • It's literally just Auspost Express. So usually within a week, if not two!

Not bad, for $15/month, includes Disney+

"Promotional code is not eligible for OnePass | Disney+ Bundle"

  • I live about a 20 minute drive from a Bunnings but annoyingly they won't ship to my address. Makes this Onepass thing pretty unworthwhile personally

    • +1

I live two minutes from Bunnings and they won't deliver lots of different things.

Anybody got a Bunnings Customer Service email address?
Havent recieved the info or link to claim the promo 'Welcome Pack' within the 10 Business days of Onepass linking
Their FAQ provides a phonenumber 13000260710 to advise of no receipt of the Welcome Pack details …. But the wait time are always at ~60 min wait times

    • I got an email with a link to a form to fill out to claim it a few days after linking my Bunnings account to OnePass. So if you haven't already linked your account, try that.

      • I filled in the email form, but haven't seen/heard anything further. Nothing received in the regular mail. How long does it take to receive the gift card etc.

        • I can't remember exactly, but it was between 1 and 2 weeks by regular post.

    • +1

When I filled out the form to redeem to the welcome pack it said it was already used.

I followed the link provided for help, which created a case but sent it to the local store.

The store forwarded it to the correct department.

The reply finally came back to fill out the form.

      Basically don’t bother

I chased up the welcome pack using this it worked

    • +1

Just keep whinging. I ended up getting three welcome packs after waiting ages :)

      • That’s a lot of coffeys

  • Wow… Onepass only gives free delivery on orders OVER $80 from Bunnings, that are also SMALLER than a certain weight and size limit. So a pretty narrow band of scenarios. I would have thought the whole point was something like Amazon Prime where you pay the sub so you get free delivery on low value orders. If I ever need to spend $80 or more at bunnings, I would pretty much always be over the weight limit, and if not, then I usually don't mind paying delivery if it's 10% or less of the order cost.

    • +4

Yep these guys are clowns. Only when they get parity to Amazon it might be worth a look, rather than this tightass version

      • they might care when amazon has half the range that bunnings does

  • +2

I clicked trial on One Pass, and regretted it soon after, I gave away my info for nothing. Too many restrictions making it a useless service.

    • I thought most people get the free Bunnings pack then unsubscribe

  • +11

Not worth it. Too many items not included in delivery. I cancelled my subscription last week and won't be signing up again even at 30 a year. Trying to get to 80 dollars of purchases at Bunnings to get free delivery just makes you buy things you wouldn't otherwise have bought. I thought onepass was supposed to make it more convenient to shop online, not more effort to try make the min spend requirement.

    • If I go to a Bunnings store I usually spend at least $150 onepass might work out for me

      • +5

Until you need something that weighs over 1kg and suddenly it's not able to be shipped. I can't see any value in OnePass either, I cancelled before my 30 day trial ended.

        • 1kg?

          The max is 22kg.

          • @McFly: Dimensions? I've tried to buy relatively small, light weight items and they wouldn't ship them. Not chemicals or anything flammable either.

            • +1

              @bonezAU:

              Max weight 22kgs
              Max length 110cm x height 70cm x width 70cm
              Max dimensions 0.25 cubic metres

    • Thanks for your review and sharing your experience. Not sure why people downvote, clearly its not for everyone!

If anyone has Nab - the cash back offer brings down the membership to 20$ a year.

    • not what it says up the page

  • +2

I use one pass a lot at target, Kmart and catch.

  • Thanks OP. I moved my monthly sub to this lower cost annual. I find the subscription is decent - pretty much useless for Bunnings but good for Catch & Kmart (I don't really use Target)

  • My monthly ended today ..signed up for the year at $30 just now. Result

  • +1

So many people whinging about it here. It's not a premium service. This deal makes it $2.50 per month.

I've used it for Kmart, Target and Catch. Sometimes something isn't available for shipping but so what? The month by month is best and is way less than paying shipping on even a single transaction.

I initially found it in December. Paid $4. Did a bunch of Christmas shopping (saving $$$$$$), and cancelled. Rinse and repeat for when I need it. PLUS got all the Bunnings vouchers.

    Stop ya whinging
