5500 is 4% faster than 3600, according to userbenchmark.
    750W is 100W better than 650W.

      Source?

      • Well ackchyually…

        Source?

        Isn't 750 - 650 = 100?

im afraid you'll need to double check your math.

            What are you talking about?

            750 - 650

      • What? Trust me bro? Not good enough for you? 🙃

I would avoid userbenchmark for any comparisons. They're known to be biased and unreliable
Looks like Hardware Unboxed has done a comparison.
Overall they're evenly matched. Some games favour the 5500 while others the 3600

Thanks for your incredible ability to work out the PSU difference.

  • W build if legit company.

Definitely legit. Hopefully some of our customers who frequent here will confirm.

    How much without the GPU?

    • +1

      Also interested.

    • Also would like to see BYO GPU builds on offer.

      • +1

Heard. We'll work on some bargain bundle builds. Question… everything except GPU or just mobo, cpu and ram?

        • cpu, case, mobo, ram, psu, water-cooling 😁

How much for just the GPU?

      • -1

How much for no computer? What console would that be equivalent to? None consoles?

Any intel build with 3060 around same price point

  • +5

We'll look to do another Intel build with 3060 next week!

    • I was just looking at your site and noticed a build which likely has a typo (just FYI)
      https://wellstechnology.com.au/collections/systems-1/product…

It says it's got a 13400F with a B660 motherboard (as far as I'm aware, they only support up to 12th gen), so I would guess either the CPU is meant to be a 12400F or the motherboard is a B760?

On another note, happy to see what you have for an intel build next week.

      • Hi Dipaty,

That board has LGA1700 chipset and supports 13th gen from the F21 BIOS update. Most 600 series boards will support 13th Gen with the updated BIOS.

Thanks for checking out our site. Its still under some repair at the moment so theres definitely bugs and things that need fixing. Let us know if you find anything else!

        • Well that's good to know, thanks for the clarification - shame it's out of stock now.
Hoping your Intel version next week is either 12400F or 13400F.

this vs techfast's one for 878?

    • +8

I'd go for this. Better PSU, MOBO (with Wifi) and Case. Plus if its shipped within 48 hours as they say, you wont have to wait the >4 weeks for your techfast build.

  • Fair price. Just ordered an Enthusiasts NUC 11 - Phantom Canyon yesterday, needed something ultra compact. Otherwise I might be kicking myself slightly seeing this deal.

  • +1

What sort of packing materials/boxes do you guys use to ship interstate?

    • Hi Songsong,
We build the machine and pack them back into the origal boxes with the foam surrounds. We prefer to ship the GPU separate if travelling interstate but we will ask the customer for their preference.
With the larger GPUs we strongly advise shipping separate and we dont charge extra for this.

finally a WA based maker. i was hoping to buy one but a lot of the parts are Out of stock already

    • New deals coming each week! We'd love to offer bigger volume but right now we need to impose some limits to ensure we can build and ship quickly.
Keep an eye on the site

  • +1

Most of the parts show as out of stock - pick another variant

    • The software we use allows us to bundle all the components that are on the shelf and in stock. It does allow for variants but at the moment we aren't using that feature.

  • +2

How about a build with a GPU from the 40xx series?

    • would like to see 4070 builds

      • Heard. Intel builds are also being asked for, perhaps 4000 series in an intel build next week?

        • Are you able to offer both options? Personally I'm happy with a 3060ti to keep prices down but would prefer an Intel option instead of amd.

  • Ok I'm just going to be real & straight up ask it.
Are you losing money on these or are they grey import parts, what's going on here?

I guarantee Wells Tech are not buying enough parts to get that much of a bulk discount from Aus suppliers.

    • +3

These deals are below cost. I'm seeking to build more volume, to generate better buying power and therefore negotiate better discounts. Take advantage.
Some parts have been sitting in my stock (motherboards, memory, cases etc) for some time. I think the industry could do with some more discount volume builders. That's the goal. In this particular deal I bought the graphics cards a while ago and got a decent deal for the volume I bought, even with that - this deal is not profitable for me.

No grey parts. All Aus stock. All new stock.
