Note: Nest Secure gets shut off 8th April 2024. Not sure if it impacts these cameras but worth double-checking before you dive in.

    • That applies to some older products from before Nest were acquired by Google.

Nest Secure was never in Australia

  • You should also be able to price beat this at Office Works and save another 5%, right?

    • its what i did for the pair and it came to $412 at officeworks

  • I did OW orice beat for the nest doorbell. They were not going to beat it. Had to call manager down. They said they dont match telco carrier's. I forced the issue as they already had the price wrong on the shelf. Their old ticket said 259 so the manager gave in.

Typical ow always making it difficult

    • The price beat at OW was pretty straightforward for me. YMMV.

Knew the guy was talking crud so had it out with him. Brought my ozbargain card in as proof that i meant business

  • For Google Nest Cam, Do i need to pay monthly subscription like Ring from Amazon?

  • Price beat at Bunnings 10% off ??..

    • Is this possible?

    • Bunnings only seem to have 4 pack?

    • Bunnings have a shitty price match policy. The store needs to be in the area and you need to be able to get the product on the same day so no online orders.

  • Can the nest cameras be wired like the doorbell? And are they ok outside? How long do the batteries last?

I already have a nest doorbell with the subscription.

Where did you find the transformer for the doorbell (wired)? I googled it, looked complicated…

      • Instructions are complex but all you need is 8–24 VAC transformer not DC. Then plugin to the cables that comes with it.

      • I actually imported a wired one from the US…. But I couldn't find / replace my transformer (us doorbell required a different voltage). I gave up in the end and replaced it with the au battery version runs on a lower voltage and just plugged it into where my regular doorbell is. So I don't need to charge it.

https://www.jaycar.com.au/24vac-1a-unregulated-power-supply-… I have this one and never had a problem.

    • Yes they can be wired up, you have to buy the extension cable but i believe its only 10m long, which isn't the best imo, plus Officeworks want $68 for it, like seriously…$68 for a cable!

Battery lasts up to 3months, depends what settings you have on it though. No biggie to take it down every now and then to charge it.

I did see another brand in officeworks had a solar panel as an accessory, which would be good if you could hook something like that up instead.

  • I have a video doorbell. I think that runs on DC. Any suggestions to replace that with the Google nest doorbell wired?

  • Anyone knows how to find the product code of the nest cam on Optus website? Officeworks in Brisbane cbd agreed to price match but they couldn’t find the product code on optus website so they refused it.

  • OW phone did price beat for me for the 3 cam set bringing it to $597.6, collecting in store this afternoon.

  • Pricematched 2x Google Nest Cam with Floodlight at OW for $365 each (5% off $384), which is 1/3rd off RRP 😁
