Bosch GL-30 ProPower Bagged Vacuum $199 with Bonus Bosch PowerPro Dustbag 4-Pack (Worth $19) + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ The Good Guys

250

Link for Dustbags. They are discounted off the price at checkout.

I actually bought this slightly cheaper by buying the vacuum and the bags separately using click and collect on TheGoodGuys ebay store using the coupon code YIPPEE10. Not sure how long the coupon is available for, but it works out at $196.20. Delivery is an extra $10.00.

Majority of reviews are pretty good with most of the complaints being that the suction is too strong on carpets and they can't push the head. My thinking is that adjusting the suction power would remedy this.

Reminds me of this awesome deal

    • Now that's a deal! Is this new seller the one who bought the 1000 units from the $70 deal?

    • you remind me of my failure in life

bought it at almost triple the price just a few months prior to that deal :puke:

Yup.. Good reminder indeed. It's still going well.
Mine was an impulse buy at the time, and my folks ended up with it.

  • What’re generic bags for this unit worth?

    • I haven't checked yet as I got the genuine ones this time. Pretty sure you'll find some on ebay or Amazon.

      • Prices on aftermarket bags appear pretty close to the Bosch ones.

Hopefully someone who’s found a cheaper alternative that’s worth buying can pipe up.

I bought one of these vacs in Dec 2021, am using these aftermarket bags which seem fine (15 for $14 + $4.50 postage)

You have to bend the bag around a bit to close the lid but havn't had any issues.

      • That’s great, thanks for sharing!

It's a good vac, plenty of suck, not too loud & a decent length cord.

The wand hand grip takes a little getting used to, it's a bit fatter than usual. The hard floor head is small and not that soft, but does the job.
Even with pet hair you can really jam a lot in the bag before replacing, and suction doesn't drop much when almost full.

Always get a chuckle when people complain that a variable power vac has too much suction. Turn it down. duh…
The hard floor and carpet settings are about right for me and crank it a little higher when the bag is getting full.

  • I bought this several months ago from TGG and very happy with it, especially the cable length.

I get the criticism around too much power. Sometimes when you pull back, the head falls off because it's sucking so hard. It's annoying but you just have to be more gentle.

    • The power button also adjusts the suction strength, if it sucks a bit too hard you can just dial it down.

  • Still using a Vax Silentium here. What a godsend of a machine for having a quiet and bulletproof vacuum. Bags are cheap as chips online (reusable) or from bunnings (paper type).

  • I planned to get the vacuum @ $199 from TGG Chadstone.

They first asked me if I want to pay additional $35 for TGG 3 Years Gold Service Extra. I said NO so they lowered the vacuum to $150 and then add $35 for the Extra, making it $185.

No brainer. I took it plus the $19 bags. Total $204.
