What's wrong with Centrecom? Never had any issues…

      • +9

Known to cancel ozbargain orders en masse citing stock issues and then relist later for full price in stock

        • Other stores have done significantly worse and everyone still supports them.

@Clear: i dont know about that claim mate, on one infamous ram deal posting, everyone that ordered from them got cancelled order. and its not a price error deal neither. care to point out another store that cancelled order for everyone?

          • +1

@Clear: How much worse can the other stores have done? Send rocks in the shipping envelopes?

    • Yeah stay away from these guys, listed item as new on eBay but when received, its repacked into a smaller non-original packaging. Luckily it is eBay covered with money back guarantee.

Good deal. I wish GPU prices were falling as proportionally fast as SSD prices!

I wish grocery prices were falling

      • +1

they are, they just triple the price first then let them fall to double the price

  • Just don’t cancel the order or they’ll be keeping the surcharge

  • down down down down down

Looks like a lot of computer parts retailers have it at this price: https://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Samsung+98…

I’m hoping updating the firmware when I get it will resolve any potential issues? Touch wood 😅.

        • haha hope for the best mate, im thinking maybe its a batch issue, mine 970 evo plus worked fine after like two years now.

  • Is it PS5 compatible? Or is it worth just getting a 2TB?

    • +4

nah its gen 3 and the speeds can't hit what the ps5 requires, with that said it's still a fast drive, i used it as a boot drive for my pc for years even though its dramless, good for pc games

  • any deals for 1tb?

  • Grabbed one from JW for same price, but with $4.95 standard shipping.
    Thankyou OP

I ordered from a nearby branch of Scorptec Computers with no shipping and surcharges.

    • Thanks – I've just ordered from them to avoid the surcharge. Here's the link for anyone else looking for that option.

  • Hey guys,

I forgot a free program that copied or cloned literally everything, boot and all from one SSD to another SSD or HDD. Does anyone recommend a program?

I have an 500gb SSD that boots win10 but I also have other programs installed etc….. but I would like a m.2 instead

    • I just used Macrium Reflect based on recommendations on Reddit. Seemed to work fine.

    • Clonezilla best in the game

      • It works well to duplicate onto the same size disk but I don't know how to do this on windows with BitLocker on and need to resize to a larger target drive. Can clonezilla do that?

I was doing this recently and couldn't work out how to do this on clonezilla and had to go back to Macrium Reflect.

Would love to know how to do this with Clonezilla

        • It can auto resize, its one of the options after you select the discs. Not sure about bitlocker, I dont use windows 🤷‍♂️

      • Disagree Lavasoft via Hirens Boot USB less issues

  • Any good SSD enclosures?
I was thinking with prices dropping, getting one of these drives and a decent enclosure would suffice as a decent external harddrive perhaps.
