          • +1

@ozy: I laughed way too hard at this. Thank you

          • @ozy: Call a Bingulance

        • Maybe they're?

    • Unavailable online.

  • sorry, all might be a vic only deal i ordered from Keysborough.

  • +1

    Showing $129 at Lidcombe

    • I set Lidcombe as my local store but showing $249

      • Seems they've fixed it now. Showing $249 for me now too

  • Yeah, Its showing $129 I am from Sydney

  • Anyone have one, does it have good people filtering/alerts? My current one is crap and thinks everything is a person

    • Human detection is pretty good. However you can’t filter to just receive notifications for human. You can set motion detection to human only during the day but at night it will detect everything. I wanted to receive human detections at night but its not an option

      • Hmmm that's a hard one. Can you set a do not respond to for a specific area?

        • Yes they have that (Activity Zone) but I’ve never used it. Maybe look up youtube for that

        • +1

Its called privacy zone. You can cover up your neighbour driveway for example.

  • Nice deal

  • +2

"Product with Code '0239003' not available for pick up or delivery"

it says you can place a special order in store or online but i don't see any option to do that online.

    • Yeah same, I dont see any way to do it online, I think you have to call to place this particular 'special order'

  • Was showing up as $129 a few minutes ago but now $249.
I think the deal is over.

    • still showing $129.

    • Still showing $129

  • +1

I just called up and ordered 4 - they took payment over the phone. $129 each

  • +1

correct you will need to ring your local store that's what i had to do.

  • +1

Is there any easiest way to find out which store selling for $129 instead of $249. Thanks

  • $249 here in Brisbane.

    • +1

      Try another local store

      • Tried everything within my radius, no luck. All good, hope some others scored!

  • Back to 249?

  • +2

Anyone else have an aneurysm trying to read the description?

  • Is it possible to set it up to stream to local NVR?

    • +1

Nah, it doesn't have any network interfaces, local storage only. Thieves could just steal it along with any evidence of them stealing it if not mounted in a secure or hard to reach location.

  • Very strange… I see it as a special order and when I selected Carlingford NSW as the store, the price is $249; but when I select Rydalmere or Northmead, the price is $129.

Maybe try selecting a different store if you see it as $249.

  • Been eyeballing the reolink range to use with my BlueIris setup.

Any reason their 4k cameras for $130 when on special wouldn't be a better deal than the eufy range?
    https://m.reolink.com/au/product/rlc-810a/

    • +1

I've found reolink OK but kind of slow. (you get what you pay for)

      • I have Eufy wifi cameras that are OK but kind of slow. (you get what you pay for)

    • +1

I have eufy currently, and am building a new sec server to handle two always on rlc811a 4k cameras.

Quality is great, light is fantastic. H265@4k closer to 30fps not 25

      Need to try blueiris.

      • Can I ask why you decided on the 811a and not the 810a, which is cheaper?
The only difference I can see is the 811a has spot lights.

        • +1

          RLC810A has a fixed lens, 16x digital zoom. (f=4.0mm fixed; F=2.0, with IR-cut filter )

RLC811A has 5X Optical Zoom (f=2.7-13.5mm F=1.6-3.3, with IR cut)

          FOV changes because of this.
          RLC810 (V:87, H:44)
          RLC811 (V:105-31, H:55-17)

          Also, spotlights are decently bright.

      • I have reolink 4k with blueiris. Works well. Quality is amazing. And love the spot light. Decently bright.

        • How to flash reolink camera to use blueiris?

  • Made an order over the phone for 2 in VIC. Thanks OP

    • +1

      glad could help out.

    • Can I ask what store?

      • I made it at Doncaster, VIC

        • Thanks for that.

  • Does it store to sd card. What's stopping someone from ripping it off your wall? Or does it record to the cloud?

    • Seems this is stand alone version without homemade required. Unless it is installed high enough otherwise it won’t be too hard to take it off along with footage captured

  • Do you need a hub?
    8GB local storage…?

  • Thanks OP. Changed to another local store and got the $129 price.

Recently purchased a 2k eufy pro setup for my parents (2 cameras and the Homebase) and was impressed with its ease of use and installation.

This solo device might not be as good with notifications and safer in-house storage but its worth a try at this price.

I don’t like the detection of my Eufy battery powered 2k cameras. Door bell included.

By time it detects something the person is already half way pass the camera.

Their wired usb powered 2k camera are fantastic though.

    • Yeah the Eufy detection is slow. I miss that a lot from my now dead Blink camera set - it was so fast it'd detect a mouse or rat going past.

    • Thats good to know, bought the wired version in a previous deal and plan on installing them this weekend.

  • Does it come with ONVIF or RTSP? I've got a Synology NAS

  • +5

Does nobody care that eufy are storing your data and putting IDs to your face so you can be identified anywhere? And that their parent company Anker, is Chinese which they desperately try to hide?

    https://youtu.be/qOjiCbxP5Lc
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anker_Innovations

    • +3

Tbh not an issue if you are not going to China. And you already have Facebook identifying you and your friends :)

      • +2

I beg to differ. This data they're tracking can be used to track you, who your family is, where you all live… If your friend owns a camera, they can even map out a network of your friends and their locations…

At least on Facebook you have options to control your data and restrict its usage.

It's not just China that can use this data, and you don't need to be in China for it to be used against you.

I should mention I'm biased from being in a cyber security field but if these devices become more popular, it can cause a real threat to national security. Wouldn't be surprised if Eufy devices get banned in Australia.

        • It's really hard to trust them when they make a big deal about "local" storage but they're blatantly uploading it online and processing the faces in it.

        • +1

Agreed - especially if these are faced into the street at all (which most people do). Even if it doesn't affect you, they can track politicians or other people of interest that happen to be walking/cycling/driving down your street.

Does nobody care that boeing is a company who makes planes used to bomb countries like the ones in the middle east?

so glad china is a key player in killing 100,000 americans every year through their exports of highly crucial precursor fentanyI

      • +1

Fentanyl is an excellent analgo-sedative agent. I use it every day.

        • @Save Medicare
Do you personally use it or administer it to patients in your care?

      • @thugmander91
The Zero aircraft which attacked and bombed us in WWII was manufactured by Mitsubishi.
        What's your point?
I don't care about bombs being dropped on Middle East countries in the war against terrorism.

  • +3

By the way, Eufy lied about the privacy/security of its cameras. For me personally they might have to be free before I'd consider using one for anything.

Despite claims of only using local storage with its security cameras, Eufy has been caught uploading identifiable footage to the cloud. And it’s even possible to view the camera streams using VLC.

Eufy’s commitment to privacy is remarkable: it promises your data will be stored locally, that it “never leaves the safety of your home,” that its footage only gets transmitted with “end-to-end” military-grade encryption, and that it will only send that footage “straight to your phone.”

So you can imagine our surprise to learn you can stream video from a Eufy camera, from the other side of the country, with no encryption at all.

    • Shouldn't use one even if they paid you, or maybe install it in a shed facing the ceiling.

  • Checked a bunch of Brisbane stores, all $249

    • +2

I’ve just searched Browns Plains, Underwood, Mount Gravatt and Rocklea. Showing up as $129 for special order.

      • Just ordered in Brisbane southside

  • +6
    • Don't know why you're being negged - some people hate knowledge that contradicts their bias…

  • Anyone figure out the pattern behind what stores are doing it for $129? I tried a few around me all coming up as $249, I tried over the NSW border (tweed and byron) and they're coming up at $249.. I'm not driving all the way to Rozelle, NSW for this deal (closest i could find that would come up at $129.

-Just went through all the Bunnings on the GC and none of them are coming up at $129.

  • +1

Just ordered 2 in store @ Cambelltown Bunnings they had the Cameras listed online for $249 but price matched a Bunnings in Gregory Hills that had them listed for $129.

    • I called them exactly 60 mins ago and they wouldn’t take payment over the phone, but would I store, I was able to order from rouse hill though thankfully.

  • “They’re”

  • Just ordered 6 in Melbourne

    • Which one did you order from? I only need 1

      • Mentone

  • Hmmm My local bunnings won't do it as it seems to be store specific, any hints?

  • +1

Went to Bunnings Clyde north and picked up two, there was this dude who was so nice. since special order desk is closed he checked when the promo is ending its ending today and he checked stock and store had stock so got them for the same price. try your local store. they might have it in stock if they do you pick it up straightaway.

  • +1

Happy i helped some people some spelling mistakes big deal won't bother posting again

    • +5

We don't worry about spelling here. Just good bargains. Thanks for posting this deal.

    • +1

Nah stuff them, only DBags nitpick minor spelling mistakes on OzBargain. Solid deal mate and ignore the others.

  • Got a pair at Boxhill Bunnings, if you are still trying different post codes. They don’t have stock but $129 price. Was told to come back 1week or so to collect.
