I bought a 5 piece set with 4 cameras and a controller last jan’23. Contrary to the advertised 365/180 days battery the battery discharged in almost 30 days. I never got any notification on my app. One of the original camera was defective and never connected to the base unit. Eufy australia worked with me for 2-3 months sent me 2-3 replacement cameras and guess 2-3 base units, but couldn’t solve the notification problem. I did their customer service very poor. Not sure how/jb hifi tied with them.

    • meanwhile my reolink lasted 90 days and still ticking!

    • The advertised battery life depends on how sensitive the settings are and how much they record due to being triggered. I live on a busy street, with lots of foot traffic. I select the zone to trigger and they last about 6 months which I am happy with.

I have all notifications disabled as I don't need to be alerted to 50 plus notifications per day. I had no clue they even had notifications for low battery

  • This or Hikvision? Dahua is also a good candidate, they are all professional surveillance camera.

    • Hikvision has been banded in US and very possible here. So, it's better to not touch that brand as you will not be able to get support/update and may also lost some functionalities.

      • Dahua also banned. Now eufy is next

  • I know these are stand-alone but can they be added to a HomeBase set up instead?

  • -1

It’s a stand alone unit with a SIM card won’t connect to home base

    • What you mean with SIM card?

  • -1

    Sim or WiFi?

    • It comes with n 8g sim is Wi-Fi

      • SD card. Not sim card.

  • Can multiple of these cameras be used in a single set-up?

  • Can. Price match in other states?

  • Nice find

Bunnings website says you can’t order it no more???

    • You couldnt order it online, it is a phone order or instore only order

  • How do you do a special order online??

    • You can't

  • good one, I need a couple.

    • How to order online sir

      • You cant, its phone order, or in-store only

  • What’s the battery life like on this unit? It would be a hassle to charge this every 3-6 months

    • Ive heard every 3 months. 4 times a year doesnt sound so bad

      • Not good either. It seems the entire eufy range runs on batteries.

I’m looking for a single wired 2k security camera with wifi…

  • It may be a deal if you like to dance with the devil!

Just got text my from local bunnings store saying supplier has no stock and attend the store for refund. So preorder has been cancelled.

    • Same here. :( i wonder if anyone was successful to get their order.

      • Just got the call too, offered a $300 alternative, no thanks :). Wonder why the one week time lag between you guys finding out.

        • Did anyone manage to get theirs?

          • @Punkboy: Still havent heard anything from them. I ordered 4

            • @cyrax83: I haven't heard anything either for an order of 2. I'm holding up on chasing them in case the supplier gets more in the meantime lol not holding my breath though.

I'm pretty surprised on a 91 upvote deal that no one has mentioned they received them yet or had a further flood of cancellations.

      • Alas just got the call and the refund for my two cameras :(

My caller didn't just say the supplier has no stock, he appeared to indicate the camera was withdrawn with no replacement or something like that so I presume the model no longer exists and they aren't making any more

        • Same just got the call from bunnings. Staff said old model clearance and have no stock.

    • I was told that the supplier had organised a one day special and wanted to sell x units. Unexpectedly, more orders came through than the supplier expected and they are not supplying anything passed the x units they wanted to sell. Bunnings staff seemed pretty annoyed about the loss of time for staff and buyers.

Good Morning, Unfortunately, we are unable to fulfil your order as our supplier has notified us that the item is end of life and no longer available. Please let us know if you would like a refund over phone or to come in store. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    • Yep same here, finally. Sat on the cash for a few weeks.

I wonder if anyone actually got them?

    • I just got a phone call saying there was no stock. But they said the only way to get a refund was in-store.

  • Hi guys bunnings offered me this as an alternative for the same price https://www.bunnings.com.au/eufy-2k-pro-security-spotlight-c…

Is this camera any good? Was planning on having 4 of them set up outside the house

Looks like it's normally sold for ~$200 but they have it listed for $150

It's weird because in the description it references L20 which is only 1080p, but in the description it's the L40 (2k) resolution and the product code is also for the L40 2K

From what I can tell, the only difference between the Solo Cam 2K (Pro) and the Solo Cam L40 is:
    - L40 has spotlight
    - L40 is IP67, 2K Pro is IP65
    - L40 is "Color Night Vision", 2K Pro is "Infrared Night Vision"

    https://support.eufy.com/s/article/Differences-Between-eufy-…

Possibly the night vision mode might be better on the 2K Pro as it has infrared, but the L40 uses the spotlight for full color nightvision

All in all I think it's a good alternative. I'll probably take them up on the offe

Edit: they are trying to make me pay the extra $20 difference per camera. Hopefully get them to honour the $129 price

    • Bunnings replied and honouring the original order price

      • Great job, did you do that through email, direct in store or calling them?

        • Email. I just replied to their no stock email and asked for an alternative option at the original price

    • Weird it's now showing as $300 instead of $150

      • Yeah it seemed to go back up today. Lucky you got in.
