  • Looks cool, but I prefer using 2 laptops instead :) while one laptop is busy with some heavy task, you can do something else without lag

Have you ever tried doing that? It's super unergonomic with 2 keyboards in front of you. You can use Logitech's flow technology and it's still super inconvenient the laptop keyboard forces the laptop to be very far and in very odd angle.

And what kind of heavy task do people even use their laptop for? You guys all have physics lab simulators or running 10 vms or something? Computers are so powerful now that only a small portion of population can push it. We keep suggesting T series laptops from 5 to 8 years ago for a reason, it's more than sufficient for 95% of the population.

        He's the 5% 😅

      • Yes, I used a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and special software (not Logitech's flow) that allowed me to connect them to one laptop, but use with both (when the pointer reaches left side of the right laptop it "jumps" to the left laptop and keyboard input is also sent to the second laptop). I also used laptop stands to raise the screen to eye level and put them further away to protect my eye sight.

And what kind of heavy task do people even use their laptop for?

Virtual Machines, databases, compiling code, code analysis tools etc. Usually takes all 16 cores of my CPU for 5-15 minutes per deployment.

If you have the desk space and that kind of work load, you should be just getting a proper monitor lol. You're stationary enough to not need to rely on 2 laptop screens. Just buy an old dell P or S series from ebay and keep those at every few desk.

          • @Wonderfool: I do have a proper monitor in my office. But when I travel and work from cafes/hotels it is not an option.

      • I just bought the G915 and MX Master 3S and love having the ability to switch between my work laptop and desktop. Albeit it's a bit annoying having to go under the mouse and change the profile, but it's so much better than having two separate keyboards and mice.

what are you talking about? he uses two laptops and types with each keyboard… DOUBLES the work efficiency.

It's what the hacker is doing on the other side of this whilst they use TWO PEOPLE on one keyboard, the hacker is using TWO keyboards on two laptops.

They say he trained at Casio on musical keyboards before @alenpin went qwerty & betrayed C-Sharp for C#.

  • This is not wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwqhd so I’m not getting one

  • Looks good. I prefer higher refresh

    I say this every time.

If can fork a bit more for the touch screen, I highly suggest it. You truly don't get it until you get it.

Also, as always, these budget screens brand comes and goes, as these screens are simply generics. I literally dunno any of the top rated ones that aren't 300 bucks.

Just find one with the price and features you want and buy it.

  • Got an old 10" tablet laying around? You can use it as a second moniter, I do.

For the price, that seems amazing. I don't need it at all, but I was tempted.

  • any recommendations for a higher end one? like hdr and refresh

  • Finally pulled the trigger. Thanks OP

Added some other random shit in the app and and used MAY20, also cashrewards tracked it.

This would be good for retro emulation as it is a 3:2 screen rather than the usual 16:9 or 16:10 for emulating 4:3 content . Less black blacks. You can use this calculator to see what it would look like. https://shauninman.com/utils/screens/.

  • XZ5WX27V1UUZ doesn't work. Is there another code?

Looks like it's all been used up.
