Haven't tried this, but I can recommend the Fender Mustang Micro (if you're thinking about getting one of these). Costs a fair bit more but it's really nothing compared to the amount of money I have already put into amps, guitars and pedals.
My only gripe is that I play it for so long it dies. It's usb C rechargeable.

NUX MP3 and the mightier amp app plus mvave chocalate midi controller - share QR codes for tones…use with any cheap wireless system to plug into a PA or FRFR amp….surprisingly good tones for an extremely portable rig….

      • Just checked out the products and looks quite good in terms of budget and portability.

How does it all work together? Nux MP3 and midi controller connect to a tablet using Bluetooth? And then speakers connected to tablet using cable or bluetooth?

Could it be all wireless? And can I record my playing? Thanks.

          Nux MP3 connected to guitar.
3.5mm male jack to 6.3mm jack socket cable connected to MP3 and wireless guitar transmitter
wireless guitar receiver connected to a PA or powered FRFR cab - or for recording, into whatever interface you like

For mvave chocolate pedal - that connects to your phone/tablet for switching patches or pedals on/off. The mightier amp app needs to be left running in the background for it to work.

Lekato headphone amp is about $45 delivered with rechargeable battery via USB also has a built in audio interface for recording to PC or phone/tablet/iOS/Android. And also supports uploading IR cabs for amp simulation. A bucket load of configurable settings, guitar tuner as well. Pretty happy with mine

That's cool I didn't know these existed - I've dug my old guitar out to play for the kids (daddy used to be a rock star - yeah right!) but don't have an amp anymore so will look into getting one of these things as it looks like I can finally show them why I wasn't famous 👨‍🎤🎸

discount not applicable to the bass version :(

  • how do these compare to vox amplugs?
