You're in a mesh deal. This is very budget friendly.

I bought these last week. Work perfect. Setup was incredibly easy

    • It was to replace a shonky netgear x4s

  • does it work with NBN box directly or I need something else?

    • +2

Yep just plug an ethernet cable into your nbn box and into the yellow WAN port of the mesh router unit

      • thanks, it works like a modem

  • will it work with Deco M5

    • It should. I have 3 x X55 and they work with my M5. Use the latest Deco unit as router to achieve best result.

  • How do these compare to Tenda?

    • +1

I had Tenda before, and while they are all reliable, TP-Link is better in many aspects, app, speed, coverage…etc.

      • Thanks, just ordered a set!

Can you have 4 or 6 of these units? I’m trying to cover a fair amount of area. Thanks

    • +1

      Yes you can

    • +2

      I have two X20s and 3 X60s flawless coverage.
Happy with 300mbit outdoors and 800mbit + indoors depending on device.
      Rock solid!

    • Just keep in mind there is a flaw with this X20 model (as well as some others) where you can't select the source node of the satellite. It will always choose to connect to the main router even if the signal is weaker than a closer node. Effectively it's a star topology and not a true mesh.

How is the delivery $0, im getting $9 standard shipping for Vic metro

    • +1

      "How is the delivery $0,…."

It's not $0 for delivery, only Click and Collect.

  • Watch out with the Insurance Add on they slip in sometimes.

  • Compatible with my AC1200 setup? Im looking for extra units to expand my coverage

  • would amazon price match?

  • Hm, really good price but after reading one of the reviews, I'm not so sure

    • Seems to be mainly related to alexa and voice commands.

  • Seems to no longer be on sale?

  • +2

Back to full price but amazon has it for $179 including delivery

  • I’m an NBN noob. With a FTTN connection would I need something else to use with this or can this act as a modem/router and no other hardware required?

    • +1

I'm also on FTTN, you would also need a modem as this is a router only.
Alternatively you could get something that acted as both modem and router

      • I was actually looking at the X-20 -DSL - I believe this could act as the modem/router and I could use the X-20 as mesh system to extend range?
