I still think Smart Send is the most affordable and efficient courier for once-off deliveries! They and Fastway couriers are the best I've found for non business individuals or small time sellers. Very easy to organise a pickup and delivery.
Good spot - I've used them - much cheaper than ANY other courier for eBay stuff and anything oversize that AusPost won't handle normally, but this now makes it comparable to AusPost - but quicker delivery!
I've found Smartsend is almost 30%-50% cheaper then Australia Post's 'Express' parcel post for larger sized items. Good to see Smartsend has an overnight interstate option now.

Had some really bad experiences with them. Lost an expensive item of mine and they were being anal about it. Ended up lodging a complaint with the authorities and got some refund. Can use them for cheap items but definitely not for expensive items because they do not include insurance.
Great deal - although they always have 10% off for eBay sellers any time of the year.
