                      • @JamesLucas: Not so much as the golden goose, from all the kfc hacks I’ve seen posted, this one would definitely be abused into oblivion. There is doing it for fun and games and there is doing it purely for money.

                      • @JamesLucas: It's official, $19 Cashback. The main tile is updated to say $19, not 19%. This line has unfortunately been added 'cashback offers don’t apply for $2 and $10 SIM purchases'
My Cashback from a couple of $2 sims has not yet been affected.
Cashback is instant and the terms don't say anything about a timeframe to activate, or even that you need to.

            • @frugalftw: How do you know it failed? You could just try using a different variation of your name

              • +1

@EsteemedCuckold: It says redemption limit has been reached. See the comment above you.

                • @frugalftw: Ah right. What happens if you have excess funds available in your Zip account? Can you withdraw it or spend it on something else? So far I've managed to get 4 SIMs without owing anything to Zip

                  • @EsteemedCuckold: Can’t withdraw it unfortunately. I reckon they’ll be reversing all these Cashback to be honest… don’t think they’ll be keen paying hundreds (maybe thousands) out to everyone.

Have done a few but converted them to QFF points instead.

Also seems to be unable to purchase any more atm.

                    • @Bigboy97: I just bought another one and received the cashback.

                      • @EsteemedCuckold: Hmm seems to be failing for me every couple of attempts. Have hit my 7th one so not going to push it anymore 😅

                        • @Bigboy97: I could only do two, do you need a new one time card each time? It seems to be giving me the same one time card numbers each time.

          • @frugalftw: What happens to rewards balance less than $20? Just sitting there till we cummulate $20, right?

            • @apple0604: Yes they will sit there for 12 months I think. If no cashback activity for 12 months they gonna email you a month before and saying the balance is gonna reset to zero

      • Does this Boost SIM need to be activated by a certain date? I'm thinking of getting some for visitors at the end of the year.

        • Chat rep says they're usually good for about a year, but the expiry on the back of the packet will say exactly when it expires.

    • I am new to zip. How do I get $19 cash back?

      • +1

Press “shop” at the bottom, then “cashback” on the top, then roll down to find boost mobile promotion, and follow the instruction on the page. It’s easy!

        • Thanks.

  • Thanks OP, bought 1 and tracked, estimated approval in (~95 days)

  • +3

Been checking everyday for this as my stash is low. Thanks op!

    • Can you buy multiple of these sums and activate them when ever, they don't expire? So you could use a new one every month but would require a new number every time?

      • +2

u need activate within 30 days of purchase for the cashback to be confirmed.

        • Thanks for clarification

        • +1

I forgot to activate one and I got the cashback lol.

      • +1

Sorry matey I churn through these too quickly, expiration isn't on my radar

This might help you. QandA #4 and #5

        • Awesome answered all my questions

  • How long does it usually take to arrive?

    • 1 week or less

  • Is this only for new customers though?

    • no. i've been activating several sims on the same account. just get a new number each time. or you can port in another non-boost or telstra number. (that number can't have been with boost for the past 30 days)

  • I'm a current Boost user, paying per month.
If I were to use this, would I need to transfer my service from my current Boost sim to another carrier, then to this Boost sim?

    • Yes

    • +2

Easier option: just use as a 2nd number (handy for some Deals), 55GB data (I use in old phone as hotspot) & take the profit.
Receives calls & SMS for further ~6 months.

  • can i use this to top up data for my boost mobile (365 days expiry)?

    • +2

      No

  • I activated my sim and I have a phone number that I want to keep, can you transfer the number to any network if I decide to go on a sim only plan?

    • +1

      Yes.
Number remains active for additional ~6 months (incoming calls & SMS), so no rush.

  • +1

Thanks OP - Just ordered one.

I rotate between boost and Telstra prepaid (bought from coles or Woolies when it’s $10) every other month.

    • Sim slutting is definitely cheaper.

    • +1

Can you please more info on that telstra prepaid offer at Colesworth? Is it advertised offer? How often it is available at them?

      • +1

I just check the prepaid sim section at either coles or Woolies whenever I do grocery shopping every week. Or I check the online catalogue.

If the $40 Telstra prepaid sim is selling for $10 or $15, I buy it straight away so I can switch to it once the boost sim expires after 28 days.

Anecdotally, these come around maybe every 2 months.

  • +1

thanks op. ordered one for my iPad. originally thought I can activate it right away with esim but no such thing with boost!
but CR got tracked right away.

  • Hi can anyone tell me if I can use this deal as port out of my existing provider?thanks

    • If your existing provider is not telstra, yes.

If Telstra you may have some difficulty.. Not sure.

Aldi etc who only have the wholesale telstra network should be no issue.

  • +1

Got a golden number that i now want to keep alive until one of my kids is old enough for it. I can just change provider to whatever is cheapest for 1 month every six months right?

    • +1

Yes you can port out. You could port to Aldi $5 sim.

      What's the golden number?

      • Ah it's just super easy to remember. Not going to post it lol

        • It's cool winning the number lottery

        • +1

Curious what it looks like. Can you post it but swap the numbers? lol

        • Can you share its format?

          e.g.

          0400 111 222 is 04xx yyy zzz

          • @illumination: i bought two numbers 5 years back in this format, costing $200 each
04 xy xy xy xy n another one for my wife 04 xx yy xx yy.

not sure if these are golden numbers though.

    • +1

does the number alphabetize to WONKA .. ? lol 😏

    • As Watchnerd suggested - $5 @Aldi for a year is easiest.

A year ago, Amaysim had so many offers of free SIMs. Parked my rarely used regular number there for a year (only incoming calls & SMS after 1st month). After a year or more, receive an email before service is terminated. Receiving those emails now.

[Just ported that number to Belong (using $20 Referral) for 5 months of calls & 900GB data, free using few $80 SIMs - bought with 2k Telstra Plus points earnt from Deals here. Then port to another provider.]

      • +1

aldi $5 is only 60 days now

        • Thanks. Too many changes to keep up with😣
Amaysim @$10/yr PAYG is an option for long term storage of number.

        • From 24 May, 7 days left for 365 days.

          • @Neoika: Wait! From 24th May they'll be change to 60 days only?

    • +2

Another option is Optus Flex. $1 per day. Activate for a day then turn off renewal. Number stays active for 180days. Before then do another $1for a day and turn off again.

      • +1

or use the 7 day free trial, make sure you select the 4g only plan, the 5g doesnt have a free trial

    • oh wow another me. I have two golden numbers for my two daughters when their old enough. maybe they won't even have phones then. they are on the now not available $1/month for 50MB TPG plans. Amaysim PAYG is where I have the one for my son parked, $10/year

  • +2

Alternatively $17 cashback via Shopback. Useful if you can't use cashrewards for any reason (e.g. overseas).

  • +2

FYI Boost Mobile purchases from March got approved overnight. Eg:

    Boost Mobile
    March 28th
    Approval date: 17/05/2023
    Total spent: AUD$9.00
    $14.00
    Cashback
    APPROVED

  • After last week's activation issues, grabbed another one. Will be moving my main number away from Boost and indeed any Telstra reseller, but these are good for random data or just straight profit. Thanks OP.

  • Bought this and still havent received any tracking emails for them, has any one else got it? Hoping itll get here before my Mate cycles over on the 2nd.

    • +1

They usually post out within 2 business days, but you don't always get a tracking email. If you're worried I'd contact them after a couple of days, they can give you the tracking number.
