  • Any good cashback offers with offset account?

    • yes, we do have.
Please feel free to email us at [email protected] or text/call us on 0479 181 437

    • Refinanced to ANZ recently, got the $4k cashback

Offset is $10 per month ($120) which works out better than paying a typical $395 per year

  • You don't think rates will drop?

    • Not until Christmas I believe.

    • NAB predicting more hikes incoming

  • I've recently got 5.49% variable direct with ANZ Bank with offset and $4k cash back. With hindsight, I wish I'd gone with a broker rather than deal with ANZ directly as it's been a painful process of me doing the running around, being asked to call different ANZ Bank depts, conflicting info etc. I know some have had better experiences with ANZ.

    • Is that including the latest rate increase?

    • When did your settlement go through and has it changed since? I got quoted 5.69% today directly from the branch. And I wonder if this is something we can negotiate

      • It's going through any day now. I was told by the ANZ home loan person that it would settle at 5.49% (post the recent rate rise). I'm <80% LVR plus I went through their website to start the application process and one of their home loan specialists contacted me and originally offered 5.24%, if that helps.

        • Thanks that's very useful to know. I was told they might be able to bring the rate down a bit but not to 5.4%. Will see what they table

  • Is there a maximum amount we can pay into the account for fixed rates? We went to remortgage around 1 and a half years ago and they said we could only pay a max of $10k extra. Or can you pay as much as you want?

    • u cant..unless u have an offset account..and if there is no clause in the contract

  • Can I refinance from ANZ to ANZ for $4k? :D

    • U can refinance but no cashback.
We can get you better deals from other bank in that case.

  • What is IP rate with less than 80 LVR?

Is there any better deal for $4k cashback rather than St George or ANZ?

    • Westpac also do 4k cashback but maybe through brokers only.

    • whats the loan amount?

      • Around $330k

        • no other option thn if you are after $4000 cashback. there are few banks with better rates and cashback $3,000

          • @Rannar: What about MeBank or IMB Bank?

My only reservation is around giving them direct access to internet banking.

            • @Ash-Say: Me bank $4,000 for LVR less than 60%

  • What rates can you get with ANZ OO variable?
