Toolpro 12V Sabre Saw & Grinder Kit $119.99 (Club Price) + Delivery ($0 C&C / in Store) @ Supercheap Auto

130

Have had the rotary tool for years and was keeping an eye out for a spare battery deal… then I spotted this kit including 2x 2ah batteries and a spare charger in an email this morning. 2x batteries and a charger would be about $100 normally, so $10 per tool? That was all the justification I needed.

Grinder is brushless, saw is brushed from what I can tell (haven't unpacked it all yet).
Grinder discs available too https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/toolpro-toolpro-5-piece-…
75mm/76mm discs can also be found at bunnings under the Kango brand.

I'm not sure about the saw blade compatibility , but I have some reciprocating blades and pruning blades at home that I use with my larger Ozito reciprocating saw, so I'll test compatibility and post a comment this evening if no one else can confirm before then.

Nice, thanks. Ordered. Great little compact tools for use on the car etc.

Tested the saw out, it does use a standard reciprocating blade, so my existing metal, wood and pruning blades worked fine. Blade it comes with is garbage though, its very soft and only ok for aluminium or pvc pipe.

  • I've also been keeping an eye on this one and very keen for it.

Looking at the discounts that sometimes come up on the other tools, I think holding out for under $100 for this one isn't crazy. No idea what the lowest price ever is. I've bought a couple of the sets in this range for a comparable discount. I really like the tools, nice and light, nice in the hand, and surprisingly good battery life. The drill and driver are fantastic for light work, not enough go for anything serious though.

  • My toolpro rotary tool broke in 3 months, the little button to hold the spindle for changing of tool, so technically still works but I can't change the tool thats locked in.
