How do we know these are not new HEYMIXes?

    • chances are lots of brands are re-labelled, there are a limited number of chipsets and designs from the chipset vendors that end up in these cheaper chargers …..

    • Super Fast way to burn down your house.

    • Funnily enough, a quick search of the model number(WT25WPD) shows that it is shared with a Heymix charger and some other cheap chargers with varying ratings.

Ahh, the Heymix model has my fav review -

I liked the price, i was charging my ipad air 2 out of now it shorted. I read about this happening on ozbargain but i didn't think it would actually happen to me.

Listing that is designed to confuse - throwing around Samsung a bit much.

This is a copy of Samsung's design and there are additional risks to buying such an item.

  • +5

How is anyone up voting a brandless low power charger for $13?!

    • +2

What's wrong with it? These users look very happy and you could be them!

    • comes with a usb c cable and it’s c port not type a port , if you have an ipad or iphone get a c to lightning …… don’t think my ipad or iphone s charge beyond 25w ….

  • +2

If 25W is super fast charging, what does that make 65W?

    • +1

      Ultra fast.

    • PPS support - enabled Super Fast Charging 1 on Samsung Phones.

According to the previous thread, this does support it.

    • 18-30W is fine for PD (fast) charging.
Not saying the device is safe to use or as good as factory but would suit most android phones.
Obviously it is a generic brand.

  • +5

Misleading cut and paste from the product description saying this is Samsung.

    • not misleading if you read the listing, says for samsung not by or from samsung ….and brand aerostralia not samsung …..

      • +3

Yeah, you need to go into the link to see that distinction.

The original text in the opening post says it's a Samsung charger. It's in the first three words of the OP.

The paragraph says Samsung right off then a total of five times. With the real brand name mentioned once.

And on top of that, it's not a good price for a generic charger- may as well just pull something off AliExpress.

      • It's "misleading advertising" not "false advertising". It's not lying, it's just designed to misleading people into incorrect assumptions.

        • +2

The post literally starts with "25W Samsung Fast Charger". This is false, not misleading.

A better quality belkin charger available from good guys commercial for only ~$2 more

  • Bought one last week, this can't super fast charge S22 ultra, maybe faulty.

    • +4

May be faulty, may be mislabelled, may be not engineered properly, or may be a completely different product! Who knows?! Probably not even the seller =P

      You're a braver man than I, charging a $1600 phone with a $5 charger…

    • That may require a 45W charger as the S22 Ultra supports SFC 2.0. I'm not sure what 25W shows in that case.

Or, of course, it may just be faulty.

I bough last time in $3.25 and Aerostralia charger for apple phone and it is not up to the mark and it does not have any sort of branding on it. It's slow as compare the orginal apple charger.

  • What’s a decent fast charger for an iPhone 12 that doesn’t cost the earth?

    • What does "cost the earth" mean to you?

Apple, Belkin, Samsung - Take your pick.

i'm a fan of IKEA chargers after watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0yrCSD3FAM
      (summary at 23:23)

P.S. if you know of any other similar chargers/brands whov'e had a similarly thorough test performed on it and come through with flying colours, please share! these threads (cables/chargers) are so common, it'd be nice to haveh a nice copy-pasta to paste every time.

  • Wow you can buy 2 for $19.49 lol

  • this actually seems like a good deal but negging due to the intentional mislead. i read it several times and it seemed to suggest this was a samsung charger. not an aerostralia charger FOR samsung devices.

  • Amazon AU is just full of drop shipped items that you can get direct from AliExpress for half the price. I got 20W chargers for around $4.20 and 65W chargers for $8.60.
