AORUS BAREBONES SYSTEM with Elite Z690 mobo + RTX 3070 Gaming OC 8G + C300G Stealth Case $899 + Delivery ($0 MEL C&C) @ BPC Tech

200

Heads up. It's not a prebuilt system. You're getting a case, mobo and GPU.
Exact same bundle was posted a few month back at a discounted price of $1099. The original RRP was $1699.
Seems like decent value, so if you're after a 3070 this seems like an easy buy.

If you're interested in buying you might want to watch first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7yRd_Tk9XY&ab_channel=Linus…
Essentially the mobo & gpu are modified specifically for this case.

MOBO: Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite stealth DDR5 Motherboard (RRP $459 @pccasegear)
CASE: AORUS C300G Stealth (RRP ~$250 @amazon)
GPU: GeForce RTX™ 3070 GAMING OC 8G STEALTH (RRP $849 @pccasegear)

The case is bad because there is no air flow, stuff will overheat. Not a bad deal, but you'd probs have to put in some effort remaking case: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7yRd_Tk9XY

I can clearly see a fan at the back

generally for air to "flow" there needs to be 2 openings??

just take the mobo and gpu at this price and use the case as a hamster cage?

      • The connectors are all on the back because this is a "Stealth" kit. The intention is to not have any cables visible in the case.

      • yup like tatsu said, the gpu and mobo wouldn't be too compatible with other cases and parts anymore :((

        • I redact my comment. I was just flicking through lower end gaming systems and didn't know the background of the stealth products. Funny the site has only a couple of sentences of info.

        • had a look at the video, this case looks like it will be compatible with other motherboard, it have extra cut out, and it doesn't miss any standard cable holes.

Motherboard standoff screw hole is in-line with standard ATX too.

can certainly use it with something else.

The mobo however will need to be in either a open air frame, or in another case with some slight angle grinder work ——- certainly is easier than make a mesh fronted panel for this very case.

          • @OMGJL: I read that the case doesn't have standard cutouts, just backwards ones.

            • @Deterrence: What cutouts are you expecting? You can still house a standard ATX.

              • @GrumpyGandalf: I'd expect some cutouts near the bottom of the board where you'd find headers, larger holes to the right for PSU cabling. It'll house a standard ATX case but the cable management would be ugly.

                • @Deterrence: From what I could see the header cutouts are at the bottom. And the holes to the right looked standard to me but maybe I'm wrong.

      • Getting a hamster may be the hardest part of this deal though.

    • Easy case mod to give it more airflow.

      • Damn I'd do that mod for free

      • Good trick haha I got this case from umart for like $79 during last black friday for my brother since he is not a heavy user he should be ok.

Not sure what the front HDMI port is supposed to do. Can't find much info about this either on the manual or online. Looks like just an HDMI extension but the connection is kinda weird

Waiting for the anti 8 gb vram comments

    • -2

I haven't put together a build for a while but I'm pretty sure not many applications will exceed 8GB of vram even if you run 4k. And this is a mid level gaming setup. Just buy extra ram if you are worried. The GPU (onboard memory) does not need to handle all video processing loads.

  • Was going to get a B760M+MATX CASE($200 after discount) +3060TI($550 ) in around $750. Is that worth changing to this? Thanks

WOW mobo plus case for $200? Surely post that haha. This is comparable. Slight GPU performance increase at the cost of lost modularity with the case. I'd go for this since I actually love the look of the GPU against the mobo with no wires it's so sexy

      • That was the Mwave deal posted here last week lol really good price. Wondering if returning it is easy

  • I think the description is incorrect, the mobo is Z690 AORUS Elite Stealth DDR5 which is much more expensive than Z690 AORUS Elite DDR4
