    yo, just giving you a heads up, my Google Home has been acting slow recently. I've got this Nest Hub, and it's great at displaying the time but pretty lousy at providing accurate answers. It just ends up Googling the queries, which is not what I was expecting. I'm really hoping they integrate it with the newer AI model soon.

      My google devices have started providing me with the Wikipedia definition of "weather forecasting" when I ask "what is the weather forecast, unless I add "tomorrow" or "today" at the end. Seriously annoying now, they're taking the piss. I have this one, it is good though, smart home control on screen, decent sound, echo show 5 seems bassier, though maybe each have settings I haven't played with. Def worth $59

          It's more than a switch, as it's not just binary on/off. I use it as a manual dimmer as well.

      in the dark of a winter night, with no heating, huddled under a doona you can ask “ok google what is the time” and with the answer decide if you want to sleep longer or get up ….. or say “ok google play radio” if i need to get up and don’t want to fall asleep again …… finding it quite convenient …….

      it’s great as voice activated radio though its mono and the speaker is a bit small …..

      its a good option if you have older parents too stubborn to wear a fall alarm - they think they're still too young'for something like that - but have a record of falling previously)

      99% of the time they view it as a digital photo frame

      but it supports wifi calling on telstra - they can ask the device to make a phone call and talk to it.

      i have alerts set up for deals like this precisely so i can stock their house with one in yelling distance of every room.
