    • Yep. I’ve done 6 this morning.

  • Any cheap phone or mobile hotspot around? Something under $50. So I can use all these SIMs easily.

    • +1

You don't gave a spare old mobile?

Using a Telstra locked 4G+ mobile as hotspot for all the free / profit Boost Deals.
Got it free in old Deal when Telstra was closing part of 3G.

But these $2 SIMs are pretty useless to use.

      • You're trying to find that golden number from these sims and Uber eats credits.

        • Read about those "golden numbers" (& how to store them for later use).
Am happy with the 1 main number I've been using for over a decade.

But use the rest for included Data & numbers for verification code for Deals.

          • @INFIDEL: I've been using my same number for over a decade as well. But always good to get a golden number for when they switch over to esim.

            • @nightelves: I don't plan that far ahead.

Just transferred my long term number to Belong.
Had bought $80 SIM packs for 2K Telstra Plus Pts, from FREE points in Deals.
Combined the FREE SIMs - have over 900GB for 5 months!

              • @INFIDEL: Wow can you provide me link for the $80 sim?

                • @nightelves: That Deal was a year ago! Now 10K pts.
Have to activate within a year. That was days ago.

Lucky bugger… You've already got $1000 from ZIP!

    • Which sims did you buy?

      • This $2 SIM and previously the $40 Boost SIM for profit.

  • thought i was late to the party.. just joined

  • Thanks, OP! I got $10x4 (-$8 purchase) = $32 (profit). Not too bad to add that into my mortgage payment.

    • You can go for more.

      • +2

The only thing I’m concerned about is my postie

      • Thanks, but will pass that opportunity to other Ozbargainners before Zip ends it.

  • +3

Cashback offers don’t apply for $2 and $10 SIM purchases. Min spend $30. Offer redeemable up to 5 times per customer.

    • +1

different cashback. they have now updated to $19 cashback

    • Yep, updated. Was good while it lasted

    • What! I literally bought whilst the T&C was changed over

      • Did you get paid?

        • Phew. Lucky. Yes $10 in there

      • Went to buy more, but luckily checked CHANGED ZIP T&C!

        Bought 2 x $2 sims 20min ago: $20 back

  • +1

    party's over.

  • Do you have to open a new Zip cashback window for each purchase? Or can you just continue to buy more in the open window

  • Zip sms wasn't coming through so didn't make full game of this :(

  • Cashback offers don’t apply for $2 and $10 SIM purchases. Min spend $30. Offer redeemable up to 5 times per customer.

    Updated T&C. party’s OVER.

    • That's why Deal was marked EXPIRED before your comment😉

  • How did you guys redeem $1000 in one go? You can only do $120 a day afaik?

    • +3

Can redeem $120 per day, $1000 over 30d
Many stocked up other day in previous Deal.
But some would have ordered 100 here.

      • Thanks I did only 24 because I was unsure what they will do with unredeemed Cashback of this.

        • Learnt from last deal where they honoured all cashback so took advantage of it this time round.

    • +1

The fun started 8 days ago

      • Wow, where have I been? Can’t they just cancel the cashback balance which has not been redeemed? That was my worry and I did only $120 twice.

        • They could, but they’d have to deal with a great disturbance in the Force, as if hundreds of Karens suddenly cried out in terror

        • Nope they can't. It's their mistake.

        • Then I'd want a refund on 50 sims. I only continued to purchase due to them giving me cashback.

  • it takes 4 bucks so just to give it a try. so now the zip balance is $996 and redeemable amount is $20. what happen after you redeem the $20, does it just add it to the zip balance?

    • +1

Your account will be $16 in credit

      • i see, thanks
so i can just spend that $16 and as long as the balance is no less than $1000 (by last day of month?) i don't get charged the monthly fee is that right?

  • Noooo party’s over too early

    • +3

Yeah your username is bad Karma 🤣

  • Anyone tried to see if the minimum $30 is the actual spend or the value of the sim for the cash back to work?

    • Can you take one for the team?

    • +1

I just bought a 30 Sim with Boost9 coupon per cashrewards promo didn't stack. Nothing tracked. My total spend was $9 on $30 Sim. So I guess total spend. I can't think of a way to make it work

      • Total order must be >$30

        • +1

I think they're trying to explore loopholes.

          • @nightelves: Ya, i think they patched it up

            • +1

@Turd: They’ll probably come back with another promo next week and forget to patch it!!

      • thank you for your try

      • Thanks for taking one for the team!

        • Thanks for posting 👍 what's $9 compared to what I/everyone made lol.

P.S. messaged Boost to cancel the $9 order so no loss. Should get refund.

  • Haha well it was good while it lasted.
Managed to do $120 worth before they caught onto what was happening.
I was tempted to stay up and do more but figured I'd wait the 24 hours and do more then…… Oh well

    • +3

You're meant to make hay while the sun isn't shining.

      • I love that saying. I was chickening out after getting $240. How much did you get?

        • +2

The worse they can do is cancel all your transaction and you'll wasted 3-4 hours max. You'll still get your money back but I doubt they'll have someone sit there and cancel thousands and thousands of transactions.

          • @nightelves: Ah well all is done anyway tonight when I claim my second lot to change for Amazon gift cards.

  • Made the mistake (… Or benefit) if checking Ozb before bed at 330am, stayed up til 5am and am now wrecked. Can someone ELI5 on how I spend my credit if I have $1150 on a $1000 zip card without paying any fees. Can I just go and buy $150 woolies gift card and it can come out of my balance and I don't have to worry about it?

    • Yep I think that’s the idea.

      • Thanks, usually stay away from BNPL to avoid hidden fees

  • Thanks OP

  • Does the $120 redemption limit reset at midnight? Or 24 hours after last redemption?

    • +1

      24 hours

  • Looks like my SIM cards are getting dispatched one by one.

Can these $2 SIM cards be activated without initial recharge?

    • Don't think that's possible. Telstra $2 Sim used to be the one you can activate without recharge.

    • I'm wondering how on earth the postie will get 50 registered letters in my mailbox the same day…

      • I've often had 70 letters delivered in a day and they sometimes just leave them at the doorstep or in a place undercover.

  • They briefly changed the cashback to $19 and the previous restrictions. Now it is $10, all those restrictions plus now it also states:

"Offer redeemable up to 5 times per customer."

Zip getting the hard schooling from OzBargain.

    • So we good for another 5 goes?

      • Deal has all the restrictions. $2 and $10 sims excluded, minimum spend $30.

        There's no profit in it.

  • They've updated the restrictions even further:

"The cashback offers are only valid for purchases of $30, $40, $200, and $300 SIMs. Any purchases of $2 and/or $10 SIMs will be declined within 5 business days. Offers are redeemable up to 5 times per customer. Terms apply."

    • They can’t just keep changing the terms. It’s unfair. We have screenshots of the terms at time of purchase.

      • I mean they are allowed to change the T&C's going forwards. Retroactively applying them, that's were it gets dodgy.

    • Wonder if they will go back and delete the last 5 days worth of cashbacks given the mew clauses?

      • Doubt they would. If it's been redeemed they'll let it slide. Was an expensive lesson for them.

  • Anyone wanna try the $2 sim and see if it gets rejected in a couple of days?

    • you don't even get cashback in the first place

  • Interestingly, the minimum $30 spend is gone, so I’m wondering what happens if you buy the $30 sim card with boost9 code for $9. Wonder if that will get $19 Cashback.

    • +1

      Lol. They keep challengeing ozbargainers.

    • +7

Tested it - You get no cashback. I might raise a ticket with CS and see what they say.

      • Thank you for doing this!

        • +3

I've raised a ticket with Zip CS, will report back.

          • @wavesgreen: thank you and waiting for the reply :)

            • @ggfatty: Nothing to report so far other than Zip CS is the slowest CS I've ever dealt with. We're still going back and forth.

  • +1

The $19 cashback didn't work on $40 sim (which is still sold at $15) either. I just asked Boost customer support to cancel my order.

  • Is everybody from the $1000 club still cashing in $120 rewards per day or did Zip put a stop into that?

  • I know the party is over, but what can we do with batches of $2 sim, other than the landfill? Any thoughts?

    • any new signup bonus offers?

    • JB Hi-Fi Perks, Kayo Sports free trial

I'm not sure of anything else.
