I have two of the Essager cables, one of them the wattage display stays off even if it's plugged into an outlet and other end isn't plugged into any devices (I'm using a GaN outlet), however the other stays on because it's plugged into my wireless charger and shows 0.0w (sometimes it has 0.9w) which is a bit odd.
Not sure if that's pulling a lot of power draw though to light up the wattage.
I had one of these and it didn't last long when using with 100w devices. It stopped negotiating the right protocol then screen completely went out
Spend more and get baseus
spend less and get ikea cable. $4.50 and ikea seems to do electronics well.
or spend more and get a USB-IF certified cable.
I purchased Essager and Tooki brand wattage display cables from AliExpress before and have noticed the C-C Essager cable displays stay on while plugged in to outlet without charging anything compared to Tooki staying off til actually charging.
Just something I've noticed. I didn't like that and would have only purchased Tooki had I known before hand.
