Don't forget to factor in other costs that will incur due to delays and cancellations.

I have booked flights for Melbourne in September and Ballina in October. Based on the comments I see on all Jetstar posts, I don't think I'll make it to my destinations.

You may make it, just there's good chance not on the conditions that you're thinking.

            Chinese Elected Official ?

  • They always say Canberra to Melbourne - $59 but dont think ive ever gone to the website and seen them that cheap.

says $75 which is still good but not $59

    • Usually means people got them before you. Friday Frenzy fares show "Sale" in an orange banner on the flight, and the number remaining if low on tickets.

      • in other words they have very "few" tickets and sell out quickly but happily keep the advertisement up of low prices

        • Well, it is Friday Frenzy and only available for an afternoon. To keep the adverts simple they provide the date range for sale fares, but obviously fares on some of those days (during school holidays) would go fast.

  • Just flew back from Jetstar internationally, flight got cancelled twice (2 additional days leave required…), then an additional 2 hours delay standing on a bus on the tarmac due to engine issues, served water via a unlabelled plastic water bottle 1L size (heavy re-used) and we were told to come get your own water after that… air con didn't work for a good hour (was ~28 deg c with high humidity), little communication and just overall penny pinching feel about it all - yeah I'm not doing that again
