Looks like it's regularly on this discount according to camels.

      Good.

      • Because if it never goes on sale it'll always be full price and no one likes full price. Unless Apple.

  • How do these work? I am guessing cold water and no air dryer. (Do any have air drying?)

    • There's a video in the listing images that shows the gist of it. Connection is with a single hose so it's pretty straight forward. Far more detail vids on YouTube.

Obviously an electrical bidet is better as you'll get air drying, temp control etc.

      • I did see the vid. Thanks.
I guess this is cheap but its not much more than a spray of cold water.

Even these bum guns are very effective compared to smearing poo over your arse with toilet paper. Your undies will be skidmark free.

  • OOS?

    • +5

      Out of shit?

  • anyone had experience with this? also, can't find any measurements to determine compatibility

  • How the world turns. I bought a similar unit for about $40 pre-pandemic. When that whole toilet paper hoarding happened during pandemic, these unit prices skydocketed to like $200 on ebay.

Mines going strong and it definitely reduces the amount of toilet paper required.

    • How do you dry after..just toiilet paper?

      • Non electric ones won't have air dryer.

        • So you use paper anyway?

          • @PVA: A few sheets, not too many like you’d normally though.

            • @karseeeejaaaa: As you can prob tell, i have never used one. Was kinda wondering how it all works..

              • +1

@PVA: Pretty straight forward to operate.

When you operate the switch, water pressure causes a wand to extend out into the bowl and then sprays upwards.

It's a pretty narrow concentrated stream - you may need to wriggle slightly to adjust the aim. Water press an usually be adjusted up or down to your preference.

When you switch off the water, the wand retracts. A couple sheets of paper dries up afterwards.

More expensive models can heat the water and blow warm air. I can believe that would be quite pleasant in winter.

Just pay the extra for an electric bidet with heating function. Your ring will thank you.

    • +2

If you have power point next to it.

    • +1

Which brand did you use? I bought xiaomi bidet but it failed after 2 years, spraying function no longer works.

      • Did u chnage the filter as instructed?

      • I bought the one sold at Costco, then got an electrician to put in a dedicated power outlet in the wall beside the toilet.

        Total cost was about $550.

        • +2

That's fair leap from c.$40 to $550 + Electrician call out and time.

    • Second this. I've been using a xiaomi one for over 5 years and still going strong

  • 2 questions - Has anyone been using this same one and can give review?
Secondly, is the brass T adaptor compatible with Australian toilets? Or you need to buy something from Bunnings?

So no one is mentioning the fact that in many newly build areas toilets are using recycled water. Is it a good idea to use bidet with recycled water?

I planned to install bidet so I chose to provision both fresh water outlet and power port near the toilet.

N.B. It seems VBA "bans" use of recycled water for bidets or similar.

    • You can use a T connector with a back flow valve and connect it to the connection under your sink.

    • Has any one installed a RPZ for back flow protection as mentioned in the above VBA link, when installing a Bidet?
It seems to be a legal requirement. I was quoted a lot to get this installed by a registered Plumber.

      • +1

Mine was installed by my builder. They have to install two valves: one in front of the bidet outlet (on a dedicated loop right outside of the toilet wall, i.e. have to run extra pipes outside of the house just for the bidet outlet) and one next to the main valve and meter. Though I wasn’t got quoted extra. I guess the builder absorbed the cost as those valves are quite big and look expensive.

Thats a pretty shit reason to neg the deal. Not everyone has recycled water for their toilets. Thats on you for having your bathroom designed that way.

      • Read: https://www.vba.vic.gov.au/news/news/2020/vba-issues-health-….

It might be breaching the code to install bidet altogether without a back flow valve, which is a risk of mixing sewage water with fresh water. Although it's not a point in my post above, I don't see this bidet specifically has built-in back flow valve.

Also recycled water is very common (either tanked or centrally supplied) in newly build areas.

        • +1

Irrelevant. It's a shitty ass reason to neg the deal and has nothing to do with the quality or price of the product.

  • BIGCOW Ultra-Slim Bidet, Non-Electric Dual Nozzle (Frontal & Rear Wash) Bidet Attachment for Toilet with Metal Inlet, Fresh Water Pressure Adjustable Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment https://amzn.asia/d/d9hiLq3

This one is better due to control knob then buttons it's easier to use. And cheaper as well. Using from few months. Now it's available for 39

Based on your recommendation, I will go with this Bidet.
Just one question - Is the T connector with a back flow valve?

  • Found another model, any better or difference?

  • Water flossers are more accurate, have more pressure and can floss while seated on the throne.

Just make sure to get the order right….floss first….
