  • How can you tell if it is Australian stock or grey imports?

Does it matter? Isn't warranty with Apple Australia?

      • +1

It may have no Apple warranty. Titan Gear is not Apple authorised reseller. If the stock was sold by Apple over 1 year ago, it may not have apple warranty. Apple doesn't accpt the purchase receipt from Titan Gear. I had bad experience with ebay seller for Apple device before.
I bought seald brand new Airpod Max from ebay seller. It's AU stock. But Apple confirmed it was sold to the authorised reseller over 1 year ago. TWhen I activated, it has no warranty. To reinstate warranty, Apple requested the purchase receipt from the authorised reseller and I got it and provided. But, Apple refused it as the seller was not authorised reseller. Finally, I returned it. So, when you buy Apple device in eBay or other marketplace, you should be careful.

        • Thanks. I already pulled the trigger. So I hope there aren't any issues that I need to use the warranty

@karazy: Before you open the box, check the serial number with Apple. Apple will confirm if it has still warranty.

        • Doesn’t the warranty kicks off from the activation date of the device? Can anyone confirm?

    • Confirmed with store rep, it’s local AU stock

      • thanks

  • I thought grey imports don't get a 2-year Australian warranty where you can take it back to the apple store?

    • Ok you might be right

  • Iphone13 128gb for $910

  • My understanding is It is 1 year international apple warranty but after that if not Australian stock you won’t get the 2nd year under Australian consumer law
