  why would they ship Australian wool to China to make the blanket and ship it back to Australia? it's definitely not Australian wool.

    Very common if you shop around for wool products. Australia produces a lot of wool, while textile manufacturing is very labour intensive and cheaper in China/Vietnam/Pakistan.

    Look at any home brand/K mart/big W wool product, even the cheap brands use Australian wool

        You are missing the point. It's Australian lambs wool because Australian lambs wool is cheap and plentiful. Have you ever seen Chinese wool in anything?

    Global supply chains are a weird and wonderful thing, and are almost the entire basis of Chinese manufacturing. Works the same for Australian iron ore, bauxite, erc.
