          They have already offered me 25% off if I extend my current subscription which I believe was the previous targeted deal (I don't auto renew if that makes a difference). I don't get the 25% off for upgrading like this deal though. I'll probably let it lapse anyway though. Other than picking up the free games every month I don't use it at all. I've probably only turned on the PS4 once or twice in the last year.

      I believe the various caps are still in place.

      I currently have over 12 years of Extra subbed, and to upgrade that to Deluxe, I'm offered the same amount as it did last year - $186.95.

      Therefore, the various caps discovered last year appear the same, specifically:
      * Essential to Extra - Caps at $135.95.
      * Essential to Deluxe - Caps at $186.95.
      * Extra to Deluxe - Caps at $186.95.

      So, if anyone wants to stack multiple years of Extra or Deluxe, best method would be to purchase/stack as many years of Essential first (max 15 years I believe), then upgrade after and you'll pay only the capped prices above for the upgrade.

        Thanks good tip! I just bought 14 years (have a month left and that was max) and upgraded to deluxe. Probably save $1000 or more as I'm sure the price will go up over the next decade.

      Going from essential to extra is worth it for Ratchet and Clank and HZDFW alone. I can't see the value in deluxe unless you happen to be horny as hell to play game trials, or for the old game collection (which personally isn't that appealing).

      Plus Extra is definitely worth it,
      But if enjoy classic, Deluxe is not bad too.

      Deluxe has saved me a bit of money from some games i was thinking of buying. The new games trial catalogue is there and a few games were pretty poor and glad i didnt. So that $15 extra for deluxe has already paid for itself easily. Not sure what else is only top tier? Maybe some other discount deals and old games.

      Have a look at the catalogue. If there's more than 2 games you're interested in, the cost difference will be worth it. Otherwise, probably not. I'm on the Deluxe, but I rarely use anything from it as well.

      Yes you can purchase multiple, up to a max of 4 years (I think, someone correct me?).

      I normally do it over 2-3 days, I buy 1, then wait 2 days, then purchase the 2nd, just so nothing weird goes wrong.

    Am I doing something wrong? I've got a subscription for essential until 28/6 and I'm not getting any offer to extend essential for 25% off. Only upgrade to the other tiers, but only for the remainder of my subscription period. So I get to enjoy the 25% offer for 27 days… and only only two tiers. What is this s**t??

      Edit: Was able to purchase twice in a row to extend my sub for 2 years. Then cancelled auto-renew.

      I paid about $51.50/year by following some of this gift card stacking
