Cheapest it has ever been from what I have seen. Just received an email notification for the discount via Camel x3.

General description below, but we have an AX86U in our household and it covers as good as most mesh setups below the $400 range, so I assume this one is as good at least. Firmware updates are regular with Asus and there seems to always be improvements. Also, Merlin firmware is available for advanced users.

Yada Yada, if you have been waiting for it and need it, you know what it's good for. Just to note, the new ASUS routers are out and more are being released in Australia too (but they are significantly more expensive, at least for the high-end ones like this).

ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 is quad-band. All for the bargain price of $1299.

      • The AXE16000 is quad band, but it's 1x 2.4Ghz, 2x 5Ghz and 1x 6Ghz, and you can't change the 6Ghz to 5Ghz.

        I have one.

    Ahh yes, arachnid.

I would look very closely at the GT-AX6000 before buying GT-AX11000 and determine what features are most important.

    • This

in the end I got the gtax6000

spend hours and days nagging, but once you think practically especially if you don't mesh or can have wired backhaul… then the GT-AX6000 makes much more sense and is newer

sure, two channels, but fits most people and it is also full ROG capable

  • The previous ROG GT-5300 had 8x RJ45, very handy. I have 2x AC-5300 linked via Ethernet backbone and spewing I don't have some more 100/1000 ports. The other 3 ports go to a panel hardwired to office and bedrooms but would have been more convenient to have 8 ports.
