HP Smart Tank 7305 All-in-One MultiFunction Ink Tank Printer $448 (Was $599) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Harvey Norman Group

80

Almost ordered one of these ink tank printers from JB Hi-Fi the other day - they were $50 off to $548, then 10% off after that with Perks deal. (They're back to $599.)

Lo and behold Joyce and Gerry updated their prices yesterday, with $150 off!

If you're wondering about the differences between the 7305 and 7005, the 7305 has an ADF (automatic document feeder) and also an ethernet port if you want to hard wire it into your network.

Another friend recommended these after owning one for some time - great to finally have minimal ink costs for higher volume home/small business printing (obviously after the initial printer cost.)

"Get up to 8000 colour or 6000 black pages of Original HP Ink included in the box."

      From HP's specs

      Duplex Printing — Automatic
      Scanning Options (ADF) — Single-sided

      From HP's Q&A

The ADF (automatic document feeder) on top of the scanner of the HP Smart Tank 7305 Wireless All-in-One Colour Printer has a capacity of 35 sheets of paper to be auto fed through the scanner single-sided, it does not do double sided scanning.

      • Thank you so much

It scans it prints it has automatic duplex printing.

I was a bit miffed it doesn't support duplex scanning, but ended up buying one because HP provides scanning software to combine front and back pages into a PDF. The idea is that you scan one side, then feed it back into the ADF the other way around to scan the back pages. The software would then stitch them up into 1 PDF.

The alternatives (Ecotank/Megatank) either doesn't support duplex scanning, or are way too expensive.

Btw, it's selling on Amazon for the same price.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09N7Z5N2L/

The cover picture doesn't look right, but the details of the item suggest it's a 7305.

    • Amazon have updated their pictures. The pics when you posted your comment included other printers from the Smart Tank family but after the update, they are all the same as HP website.

JB Hifi also has it at the same price but it says HP Smart Tank 7305e although the Model number matches Amazon and HP website.

  • Does this have an extended warranty in Australia if you register?
There is a flier in the box but it says "extended warranty offering may differ from countries" [sic].
