    these are about half or quarter of the size though. I know someone that has one for their ipad, pretty good idea for some extra storage.

  I suspect that battery life and cheap cloud storage (as a viable alternative not requiring battery) mean this product will never quite take off.

    its good if your somewhere you dont have signal ie. a plane

    i was thinking of getting one for my ipad, ive seen one in action and dont seem to be a bad idea.

    battery lasts several hours apparently.

      true, but for less you could just buy another 32GB microSD card, only marginally less convenient to access 9and certainly smaller.
