Full Boar 1700W 18kg 30mm Hex Demolition Hammer Kit $149 + Delivery ($0 C&C/in-Store) @ Bunnings

890

This might be on interest to some home diyers. I believe this thing is usually 479 bucks so it must be on runout. That's a fair discount.

    • YouTube says you drill holes in the right place, pour petrol, and light it up. It should burn it away from the inside out.

  • Thanks OP

There were none available in my nearby stores, had to do click and collect and pickup from randwick about 30 minutes away.

Funny thing is, when I went to go collect there were 2 more of these demo hammers at the click and collect counter. Appears others had the same idea.

Happy i got one before sold out. will come in useful in the coming months for some chores i need to get done.

  • Found 2 in store at Doncaster VIC even though it said no stock online. Bought 1 so there's 1 left if anybody is looking for one. On the floor in second aisle in tool shop.

  • Can anyone comment on the benefits of the anti-vibration feature? Tempted to buy the Total Tools one, but it's the base model without anti-vibration.
Assume it would make quite a big difference if you were using it for hours at a time.

  • Given it cost $141 (for my post code) for 24th hire @ Kennards this is a pretty good buy.

  • Steal! Pitty I only just seen this deal and theres no stock anywhere near me

Thanks for this - looks like a hell of a deal. Found one in stock a couple of hours away, getting a mate who lives nearby to pick it up.

I bought one of these and have been impressed. It's replacing one of the older Ozito demolition hammers which, like one of the commenters earlier, I bought for nothing a decade ago and just refuses to die. The Full Boar has about 10% more breaking force, but about 30% higher impact rate and seems to be about 40-50% faster at breaking overall. It's noticeably more powerful.

I also have an excavator mounted breaker for the big stuff where it's accessible, but need a handheld one for tricky spots, under the balcony and near walls. That's much more powerful (about 400J), but the Full Boar does surprisingly well for its size and weight. I'm breaking up a huge amount of bedrock, so obviously above average use compared to the normal use cases. I've been watching Marketplace for a good second hand Hilti AVR 1000 or 3000, but for the price this will do.

Build quality seems ok by no-name brand standards, it's obviously not a Hilti or Hikoki. The one thing that concerns me is warranty, I've previously bought and killed two of the smaller Full Boar breakers (the 10kg ones) when breaking up a concrete hut where I needed something lighter to use at angles on walls and the ceiling. Hopefully this one lasts, but it's probably better to use it hard early so it dies within warranty if it's going to.

      Just my thoughts..
