Bunsters flavours are good and relatively healthy with all the added veggies but they certainly aren't very hot. Any habanero sauce is magnitudes hotter.

    • tried any of the 'Da bomb' sauces?

      • Haven't had the pleasure yet.

lol nobody in their right mind would try this sauce

I have a bottle of Da Bomb as seen on Hot Ones.. and yup, I can guarantee it is hot!! You can taste some nice smoky flavor for a few seconds before the habanero kicks in.. and when it kicks, it’s.. umm.. yeah.. hot!! Too hot for me anyways, and I do like a fair amount of heat.

      Try this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/778233

The 2 X spicy in the red package. I've had Da' Bomb and a few different #10 sauces on 'Hot Ones' too. Eating an entire package of these noodles is harder than a chicken wing with those sauces. Good luck!

Quite familiar with Samyang Buldaks. They're very good. You can even get the sauce in small bottles standalone now.

The difference is their sauces have chilli extract which is concentrated capsaician oil that really upsets your stomach more than regular sauces.

I've eaten four packets of these noodles and as someone that has literally eaten hot chilies off the vine, just for fun and at least a dozen times, I can say these noodles are absolutely evil. I have one pack left in the cupboard, and I'm still scared to even try it again. I feel like drinking carbonated beverages just amplifies how bad these noodles absolutely hit you for six. Hot Wings contestants have no idea what real pain feels like until they have these noodles and then take a swig of beer.

It’s funny I’ve heard this from a few people. One of them is from a spicy place, and they suggested that it is possible whatever is in the packet contained more than natural ingredients. And the packet doesn’t list ingredients. Didn’t know synthetic capsaicin is a thing until now, which makes me appreciate this deal a lot more.

      • whats "#10 sauces" ?

        • +1

The YouTube/TV show "Hot Ones" invites celebrities for interviews while going through 10 hot sauces on a chicken wing or nugget (going from least spiciest to hottest). Check it out on YouTube. Lots of big celebrities have gone on. 292 episodes thus far. Shaq's episode is hilarious!! Recent episodes are Jason Sudekis (Ted Lasso) and Julia Louis-Dreyfes (Elaine from Seinfeld). The interviews are great because the guests are so off guard from the spiciness that they give better instinctive responses.

The sauces change each tv season, but the #10s are still very hot and high in the SHU scale. Here's an example of one: https://heatonist.com/products/hot-ones-the-last-dab

    • Agreed (based on STB).

Have you tried the Black Label? Is it actually worth trying, or is it just more of the same? (Given how not-hot STB is, I suspect the Black Label is pretty mild too.)

      But yeah, has nice flavour.

    • STB was hotter than most hab sauces in my experience, maybe one that's nearly all pepper mash might come close.

It's been a few years though, maybe they have weakened it since.

I've had this, it's hot but has plenty of flavour, would recommend.

Is this company owned by Amber Herd?

They have another one called Salami Sauce sold at my local IGA which is absolutely sensational and probably my favourite of their sauces (although 6/10 heat so not that hot)

Tasty, but can confirm the name is accurate. Spend the savings on some Sard or Vanish.👌

Why are we measuring in ounces if this stuff is bottled here? Surely millilitres is more appropriate.

how long's the normal expiry on these based on people's purchase experience? i bought them end of last year when they were on sale, which had a marked expiry of last month

Keep it in the fridge and this stuff lasts forever.

      • More like no microorganisms can digest this without being slaughtered by the 🌶️ and acid. Probably don’t even need to refrigerate.

      • +1

Unlike most sauces, this is not true in my experience. I had a whole fridge door of sauces that I've kept for years and noticed that this one in particular lost its fruity flavour over a few months.

Maybe because it's fruit and veg base? I've had a few fruity sauces reduce to vinegar in the fridge over time.

  • classy!!!

This is good, over winter it adds an extra dimension to soups or any dish. Recommend HIGHLY.
