7.) Why did you start making FOXPOPs?

We started making FOXPOP's as a promotional tool for our stainless steel business. Our aim was to make a high quality device that would have a permanent place on our clients keyrings.

If one of my vendors was routinely giving away swag to bypass the security or reasonable policies of another company, I'd think twice about dealing with that company.

The other tokens on ebay may be fine and so might be the spam can opener, Foxpops are made from 2mm thick grade 304 stainless steel, then fully deburred in a tumbler to remove any sharp edges. Then packaged nicely (by my kids for pocket money) so that they look good to give as a gift to someone.

Foxpops are also a bottle opener. There are always going to be different quality options in a market place and those cheaper options may be best for some people. We get a lot of repeat customers that like giving them away to people or woolworths employees that keep them handy in case they need to unlock a trolley for someone.

One more thought is that whichever one people get you’ll have it on your key ring for years so it might as well be the one that you want for a couple of dollars either way

  • Thanks just got one

  • Thanks, got one! Never seen these before, plus I'm happy to support an Aussie family business

Thanks it’s actually a good little side hustle that isn’t very profitable but teaches the kids how to run a business. It’s hosted on Shopify and the kids can learn about costs, profits, customer service etc.

  • Hey op I’ve placed an order, thanks. When will they ship out?
