Could you elaborate on what's included, as your eBay listing only has:

    Product
    Power Adapter/ Cable
    Tax Invoice

Does it include the keyboard, stylus, etc?

    • +1

Howdy, sorry our system hadn't pushed through the update. They include the type cover, but not a stylus.

  • Any chance of the surface pro 5 deal coming back?

    • -1

yup im also poorMot so i only can afford $199

    • +9

We do have a small volume (about 100 units) but they are stuck on hold at the moment. They should be available before the end of the month.

      • @Calmago can we expect the 199 surface pro 5 deal in the coming days.

        • Nar mate, done and dusted for now.

          • @Calmago: Thanks for your response.

          • @Calmago: @Calmago looks like yesterday night you were taking orders for the $199 surface pro 5 but when I tried placing the order it went out of stock. Do you reckon it will come in stock again.

  • must be to do with the processors, price of pro 5 and 6 is far different

  • Does it include the keyboard?

  • +6

I had a very bad experience with these people. Bought a laptop. They said the same thing - minimum 80% battery. But it was way below. Laptop was so dusty. Lid is loose and does not stay firm. Looks like they have even not looked at the laptop. I don't think they take responsibility in their description. Then asked me to return for a warranty repair…

    • Hey mate, if you wanted to PM me your order details I'd be more than happy to look into it.

      • +1

You guys only do one reply a day. Take weeks to sort out the issues.
        Anyway I'll PM you

        • +1

I recently bought a refurbished surface pro 7 from another seller (not this one) and had exactly the same issues — dusty as hell and I spent the whole afternoon cleaning it. but the unit was listed as a "grade B" so I had no recourse. ymmv when it comes to refurbished units is my view.

Just letting you guys know. I just got a solution for my problem. Good that I mentioned here.

It would have been really nice it was sorted out at the beginning. Then I would not have written in a public forum like this.

  • Not sure how this is a deal as the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 12.3" Intel i5 8350u 1.70Ghz 8GB 256GB SSD Win 11(linked in post) is available for $404.82(ebay plus) with the same seller?

    • if i have some 256gb cards at home unused would it be okay to get the 128gb model and save some $ ? a bit slower in speed i guess

      • -1

a bit slower in speed i guess

        how is it slower?

        • +1

the reading/writing speed of ssd vs my card.
mine isnt pro card so i was just questing it would be slower.
but then i dont need super fast actions

        • SSD swap is what they implied

          • @eddyah: That's what I thought too….

      • +2

Why wouldn't you go for the 256gb version for a few extra bucks(assuming you're an ebay plus member)?

  • +9

i dont think they actually refurbish or even check machines before shipping out. i got 2 laptops with bios passwords, and they were unable to provide the password. also replies are painfully slow. had to escalate to ebay to get refund

    • +1

I've bought from them many times and never had an issue.

Once, one of the laptops arrived DOA and they sent out a replacement one, even before they received the one I shipped back.

I bought the $199 Surface Pro 5 and had a pretty good experience with these guys in terms of customer service. The first surface they shipped me had a weird issue with the screen however I received a replacement within a week of raising the issue and it's near perfect with 95% battery life remaining and a few minor blemishes.

As for this deal although it's $200 more you're getting an updated model (with longer support life from Microsoft) and a type cover included. RRP for a new type cover is $199 and even used ones aren't that cheap.

Personally I don't really need the type cover for my use case but it'd be really nice to have.

  • I have personally ordered 2x surface pros with these guys and they are practically new. unbeatable value.

Just wanted to chime and say I’ve had a great experience with ACT as well. Bought two Surface 5’s from the last deal and one had an issue with the battery failing. They were very prompt and arranged a replacement pronto. I’d definitely buy from them again based on customer service that I’ve received.

    • +1

Update: replacement was a dud. Going through the process again, will advise outcome for people’s consideration.

      • My replacement is excellent. I would have been happy to keep the one I sent back rather than refund, it had about 40% battery and didn't last long enough for what I wanted it for but it was otherwise in excellent condition.
My experience with customer service was excellent and replacement got shipped as soon as I had dropped the old one at the post office for return.

        • +1

Oh the customer service is fantastic and that alone will keep me coming back. Unfortunately the replacement had a few issues. Just luck of the draw I guess. See how the next one goes.

I got the previous $199 deal for the Pro 5. Almost flawless screen and 92% battery life. Scored a $60 case for $29 off Amazon, so great value all around. No need for the type cover with my usage requirements so the price was great.

    • Which case did you get?

    • +2

Well.. while the customer service has been good to date. The replacement I got was worse. I’ll keep you updated though.

  • I'll get one on the next batch of surface 5

  • I jumped the gun and bought a surface pro 6. Fingers crossed I don't get the bad one in the batch

    • what made you changed your mind from 5 to 6

      • I looked at the previous offers for refurb surface 5 and they did not include type cover with the product. This one does so the price is about right. A type cover runs for $100 used and $199 brand new

      • I'm also travelling at the end of the month so would like to have the surface before that. Waiting for the surface 5 to come on sale is not an option. 😊

        • but its already back in stock.. the pro 5… last night.. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/774731
          same coupon code.

ok fair enough for me i dont need keyboard

          • @CyberMurning: Yes I did see this. Thank you. Yep I need the keyboard. It's much better to have it and it also acts as a cover.

            • @Raj09: hmm about cover.. you give me some idea to check aliexpress for some kind of softcover, probably good to have some kind of protection but i hate the keyboard

  • Got mine yesterday. Unit is in good condition but the keyboard showing signed of some moderate use and was a bit dirty from use but cleaned up ok.

Battery tested at 96 odd percent with 42 cycles

Pretty happy with the purchase as a travel laptop

  • +1

I’ve had heaps of good purchases from this seller but my last unit (SP6) was a dud. 52% batt and 340 cycles.

I have messaged them on eBay and hope they will resolve promptly, which they have done for me in the past.

I’ve bought 8 refurbished units (mixture of laptops and desktops) in the past year and all have exceeded my expectations until this most recent one.

    • +1

Had an excellent experience with my return of an SP5 a few weeks ago. And have had many good delings with them over the years. Have always been very helpful when I have had problems.

  • Got mine today. Superb. There are signs of use on the keyboard but the tablet works well and I have 85% battery. So far so good. Going to get myself a pen
