Thanks OP. Is there more to using the code than just applying it at check out? Its not working for me.

    • You have ebay plus i take it?

      • nope

    • SEOFY20 for eBay and SEOFY22 for eBay Plus members.

      • Yes tried both, neither working - happened with the Samsung A54 deal posted earlier today too.

        • Australian account? What does it say when you try to apply?

          • @Clear: Yes AU account. Says 'This code can't be applied to your order'

            • -2

@emmsumg: I have tried the code on my account (no ebay plus) it's $376.32

        • working fine for me with SEOFY20 code. Price is $296.72. Vouchers/coupons -AU $74.18

          • @mella060: It's weird I earlier tried on app it wouldn't apply the $110 off. I tried on website all works fine. Don't know why.

  • +1

Can this take 2 SIM cards and an SD card?

    • +2

      No

      • +1

I was looking at some videos of it, what is the other sim looking slot for? It looks to have 2x sim slots on one side and an SD on the other for the tray

        • must be for an sd

        • I think there's a dual sim model but I haven't looked into it

          • @Diji: I asked allphones via eBay a very simple question of if this is the single or dual sim version and they tried to explain to me what dual sim means and said check oppo website…

            Hi,

            Thank you for reaching out.

The OPPO Find X5 Lite 5G smartphone typically supports dual SIM cards. This means you can use two SIM cards simultaneously in the device. Dual SIM functionality allows you to have two different phone numbers or use one SIM for calls and messaging and the other for data, depending on your needs. However, it's important to note that the availability of dual SIM functionality may vary based on the region or specific model variant of the phone.

To get precise information about the SIM card slots and their capabilities for the OPPO Find X5 Lite 5G in Starry Black, it's recommended to refer to the official OPPO website or contact their customer support.

Do not hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance.

            Kind regards

Cheers, needed a new phone for mum and this looks like good bang for buck

    • +1

Agreed, deciding factor was good price, storage, main camera and selfie. Good overall package and covers the needs for mum.

  • +9

everytime when i've finally bought a new phone, tons of deals coming after.

    • +5

hey could you please buy a phone now thanks :)

      • +1

typing on my new phone right now, otherwise you may not even see this deal? LOL

        • ohhhh nice, appreciate it! which phone did you get?

  • Great price for the Find X range

  • Nice find!

  • +1

Too much stock means more deals come eofy.

  • +3

Would have got this if it was Dual Sim. No idea what they were thinking releasing this phone as a single sim variant.

    • +1

100% same boat for me. Hopefully there's a few more deals before month end

  • How much will it shown on the ebay invoice?

  • Looks like Allphones are smarter this time. The specs now say android 11. Hopefully it can upgrade to 13 via ota. Hope its not in the same boat from previous deal.

    • +1

i don‘t get it, what's the connection between Allphones being smarter and whether this phone will get Android 13 update?
i did a google search looks like this phone is on oppo's android 13 list.

      • I was gonna return it from the last deal because it was on 11. The description had 12 which was the reason why I got it. Check out the previous deal for comments

        • make sense, those details could always be incorrect on their web pages. i think this phone was released with Android 11, oppo normally promises 2 major upgrades.

          • +1

@ce5himm: I bought the unbranded version from JB last year for $399 and it has 2 SIM slots and an SD card and has already been upgraded to Android 13.

  • +3

Nooo why is it single Sim ??? I've been waiting for an oppo offer on their "not so expensive" range, and this kills it, it's literally the first reason I go with Oppo (also phones Are great)

Hopefully more offers to come on other ranges

    • to sell those more upper range oppo, maybe.

      • +1

nah all of their phone be it the lower, middle or upper range are all dual sim. This one is a single sim because this is a crappy optus unlocked model.

    • +3

Because it's an Optus unlocked version, not an originally unlocked model.

      • +1

Ooooh right I didn't see that thank you!!

  • Headphone socket?

    • no way joise

    • Yes

    • +1

      $480.90 - $110 - eBay codes = price in title
      It’s still valid as of 8/6 1:37am

  • +1

The entire oppo ecosystem and user experience SUX. I had an oppo a52 and I ended up smashing it with a rock and it felt so GOOD. Moto is lightyears ahead.

    • +1

Counter argument, the Android 13 on this device is a joy to use and I love it. Moto is very similar.

    • +1

You're getting negged so I'll probably get negged too but I agree re: OPPO. I've had a bunch of middleweight smartphones from several brands and the A74 is the first I've had that's been a buggy gong show almost from day one - and I don't even do anything suss or hard with it. Software has been a mess and it's always been crashy, and weirdly slow. Awful point and shoot camera despite being a 48mp (sensor won't focus on anything). I've never hated a phone more but the thing won't 'properly break' so I'm having a really hard time justifying replacing it - especially given that on spec it's still quite a current phone.

      • +1

Maybe it's just the midrange ones? I've been using a Find X3 Pro for almost 2 years and still quite happy with it. Partner just got a Pixel 7 and when I compared the specs it seemed like my phone was still relatively on par despite being much older. Was hard to complain in 2021 with 12gb ram, Snapdragon 888, latest Android (it's on 13 atm), 50mp camera, 4500 mah battery and ultra fast charging…. And I ain't complaining in 2023 either. Gonna ride this phone out as long as it will last me, don't feel a need to upgrade any time soon.

        • Oppo and google focus in different areas.

  • This mobile af JbHifi and officeworks is shown as dual sim. Unsure if the description right.

    • As per my comment above, my JB bought version has dual SIM+SD

      • Can you use two sims and an SD card at the same time on the dual sim version?

    • +3

I've done some research, apparently carrier unlocked models such as Optus restrict to single sim. However if you update the firmware it will unlock the dual sim function again, and all you will need is find a plastic dualsim card slot holder.

      • Hey can you share where you found that info? The other phones I have looked at getting esim support through firmware updates say it doesn't work for esim

        • I can't remember now but I recall reading it somewhere from an Ozbargain comment on an older deal for this phone.

  • Is this better than Samsung A34 5g & A54 5g or Motorola Edge 30 neo 6.25inch one ?

    • both Samsungs are superior in terms of software support, expected to get up to android 17. Cameras are probably better as well since even though the "MP" count is more on Oppo, both Samsungs have OIS in their main sensors. Processor performance benchmarks indicate performance between Oppo and Samsungs would be similar with the Moto trailing behind slightly. Gsmarena battery tests indicate A34 is the best, the moto on the lower side, and A54 and Oppo slightly less than the A34 but still very sufficient.

So either Samsung is a better choice but fall in a higher price range.

      • Software support isn't too bad though especially for a $300 phone. According to Android Central, it should get 2 Android updates + 4 years of security updates i.e. Android 13 + security updates til Mar 2026.

  • I have a find X2 neo. Was looking at this deal but the specs still seem to slightly favour the X2 neo so seems little reason to switch despite a small crack on my screen

  • Upgradable to Android 13?

    • +1

      yes

      • Hi @ce5himm have you successfully update via OTA?

        • Check Flyerone's comment above.

    • I just received my order and can confirm it can be updated to Andriod 13.

  • I just bought this after I cracked my Motorola screen. Can anyone please recommend a case?

    • +2

it has a case in the box, and a 65w USB A fast charger.

  • is this unlocked?

    • yep

  • Is this only locked to Optus network? Or can be used with any network??? Can someone please confirm?

  • +1

Am I doing it wrong? It says 480 for me. Get about 110 off so 370. Not worth it at that price, 280 is. Anyone know where I'm going wrong?

    • +1

You forgot the voucher code? SEOFY20

      • +1

Yep I just tried it and it works. Go to the checkout and it will say $370. Enter the SEOFY20 code and you will get a further $74.18 off for a grand total of $296.72

        • Thanks all. I've been having this issue with Ebay Plus promotions since I got Ebay Plus 3 months ago. Turns out my primary address was set to my old address in Europe, because when I changed it, the code showed up right away. Thought I'd comment this in case others have this issue. Tried fixing it with Ebay months ago and they just said the item wasn't eligible when it said it was.

  • -3

The headline price has expired. Bargain is over. Why won't admins report this as expired?

    • +2

Why won't you report this deal as expired? That'll notify both the moderators and myself.

Then again it wouldn't make a difference as the deal is still valid. You gotta apply the codes.

      • Just noticed, at about 6am 17/6 that this deal seems to be back, ' AGAIN ' …more comebacks than JC.. :)
Not sure if you want to re-open? Cheers

        • Yeah, I grabbed one.

  • Find X5 Lite at this price is almost the same price as the Oppo a78 .($267)
Trying to compare which one to get

The specs comparisons suggest that each of these "win" different categories

I'm updating from my existing oppo Reno Z from 2019. Great Battery life, speed, screen quality. But it's a bit cracked and the external speaker doesn't work anyway. so time for a change.

Can anyone add their view on which of the 2 current options would be best? (I don't need dual sim and the ebay version here doesn't have it anyway)

    • The find x5 lite / Reno 7 is better than the A78 in almost every way. Just compare them using gsmarena.

Have anyone received their order. I received mine today and the factory seal was broken and the box with minor dents.

    • +1

It's common with Mobile Citi/AllPhones. Instead of selling some of them as open, they sell them as brand new. Dodgy company.

    • Could it be because the phone is carrier unlocked and the phone is removed from sealed box to carry out the 'unlocking' ?
I also purchased, but mine is showing delivery due tomorrow Friday 16th.
I kinda expected the box to be opened for this reason, however, otherwise was your phone and other contents in NEW condition?
I'll let you know how mine goes if it's any different to your experience.

      • +3

I think so too. The phones are locked, so they open them to unlock them. They sell them as brand new instead of opened - new. We're not certain, as the sales representative always disappears when we ask certain questions. I was just looking at the reviews on eBay, and they respond to negative feedback by pretending to be eBay, although it's likely the seller who wrote it.

      • +2

I don't think these phones need to be unlocked like Nokia. Even the store rep said the phone was sealed before sending (claiming must have been opened during transit) bunch of liars. No sure if to return the phone or not. Just not comfortable with broken seal.

        • Hmmmm… I'm not sure what you mean when you say, " I don't think this phones needs to be unlocked like Nokia"?
I'm only guessing, but I imagined that 'carrier' manufactured phones, in this case, Optus, would be prepared and then sealed by Oppo at the Oppo plant.
I'm also guessing that this was excess stock sold off by Optus and also similarly Vodafone.
I can't see how these phones can be unlocked without physically removing them from their originally sealed packaging?
I guess I won't know until mine is delivered tomorrow.
I'll let you know either way.

          • +1

@dusty4: My bad. I guess network unlocking for Andriod is different to iOS.
I do believe most providers don't lock the phone now a days.

          • +2

@dusty4: It is essential to be transparent with customers by informing them that the product has been opened for unlocking purposes. However, it appears that they want to market it as brand new in order to fetch a higher price, rather than acknowledging that it has been opened. This approach may deter potential buyers who prefer sealed boxes, as they provide assurance that the product has not been used. As with open boxes, we cannot be certain about their previous usage.

            • @gto21: Totally agree with you.

    • Hi

I apologize for the broken factory seal on your recent order find x5 lite. It's possible that the seal may have been accidentally damaged during the transit process. While we ensure that all our products are securely packaged before shipping, incidents like this can occur due to handling during transportation.

Rest assured that the product itself is brand new and unaffected by the broken seal. I understand your concern and are here to assist you. Please PM your order number I will get our our customer support to reach you, will work closely with you to find a satisfactory solution.

Thank you for your understanding, apologize for any inconvenience caused.

      • Numerous instances have occurred across various phone models, persisting for several months if not years.

I doubt Australia Post damaged mobile citi packages more than other companies.

    • Mine was sealed and box was bubble wrapped in good condition. I don't believe that this company would tamper with it on purpose, could be due to transit/packaging. I was lucky.

  • Mine also delivered today. I found minor dents on the box as well but factory seal still in tact. I wondering do I need to buy screen protector for this phone or as in tact already? Thanks.

    • I believe there is a screen protector pre-applied at factory. My 2 previous Oppo phones had this, and I never needed to change them.

  • Does anyone know the maximum capacity SD card this phone will take?

    • After doing some research myself, I've seen both 512gb and 1tb…?
An extra 256gb would probably be overkill for my needs.
Might be best to check with Oppo direct, or download full manual?

      • Yeah I came across the same information so I wasn't sure. Not able to find anything official on the Oppo website or manual. I will try emailing them and report back.

Update: According to chat it is 1tb

  • Still in stock, just picked one up
