    Isn't this 4070 price? Error?

    • +2

No way 4070 can be had for ~$900 this is deffo a 4070Ti deal.

      • Fair enough

  • Definitely says 4070 Ti on both box and product description…

  • +3

If only i could make a deal with god

    • +11

      Be running up that hill?

      • +2

You don't want to hurt me, yeah, yeah

  • -2

Wow, 250 more than I paid for my 4070. Great price (relatively!)

  • +8

Should be $899, $999 if it was 16GB

    • Introducing RTX4060 16GB.

  • +4

12 or 10g vrm really should be the minimum for mid tier cards. If one paying a grand already but only still gets mediocre spec

    • +4

      4070 Ti isn't mid tier.

  • I ordered one then realised its 65mm thick - no way this will fit in my NZXT H1 v2 :(

    • Yes, it does fit…

      • +1

Lol… oh wow. That’s temping. So dust filter definitely off. He mentions also bending the dust filter guides with a hammer….not ultra keen on doing that but I may have to leave it up to fate and see if BPC cancels my order or not.

        • I saw a comment somewhere that said you can attach the dust filter on the outside (magnetic). Seems to work fine when I tried it. Not sure about the bending metal part though. Sadly I missed out on the deal!

          • +1

@penfold1251: That’s correct. I could live with that, the metal bending part is what got me, lol. Sorry to hear man! Don’t worry, plenty of good deals around the corner with EOFY, I’m sure.

    • +1

      omg thats thicc

I wouda thought those 3-cooler tuf cards were slim(-mer)

good riddance I didn't get one. max I can fit into my case is 320x140x60 and the extreme ends of that will require creative cable mgmt

      • Yeah I was so tempted to go for it anyway but it meant bending metal on my case, which probably wouldn’t affect things too much but it would just be too much. With a 13600k and a 750w power supply I would be on the edge on what is a reasonable setup. Managed to get the order cancelled, thankfully.

I think regular 4070 is the max for a setup like mine. Now to wait for the deal for one. Annoyed I missed out on the sub $700 deal, hopefully another one around the corner.

        • +1

750w here and Nuc Extreme 9 with 9980HK haha

I'll stick to 3070 for now in this market

  • +7

    A grand for 12gb, hmm…

  • anyone heard about possible Super models of the 4xxx series with more VRAM and better prices?

    • +1

I doubt there will be much until they move current model stock. Although they have left plenty of room for better specs.

      • +3

if they can't move stock off current models then will need to do a firesale or massive discounts

Currently the 4xxx series reputation has been tarnished..
and alot people just aren't buying GPUs due to them being overpriced and not good value.
and they will need to release the super models..

        • +1

Lol massive discounts aren't happening with the A.I boom also rumours are they're just slowing production of the cards instead of discounting it's pretty smart actually But a dog act for gamers

    • +2

Yes Q1 2024 is the target according to rumours

      • +1

This is so annoying. How much longer can I get by with my 1060GTX6Gb lol.

Keen for some Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3 but I'm on a 4K TV so need some help in the resolution department.

        • +2

Oh in the beta I played diablo 4 at 4k (on a TV as well) on my 3060 with no issues … Dunno about baldurs gate tho lol… You can probably get away with last gen high end as well… Or if the 7900XT falls to around this price or a tad bit lower just grab that 🙂

        • +3

GTX1060 was a good card, must be running at 100% these days though.

My "above reference" GTX1080 is 100% in the games I play at 1440p with a Ryzen 5600, but it's playable and not a massive bottleneck (<15%) so I probably won't make the move unless I am forced to.

Thinking back on the 1060/1070/1080, their specs were overkill in their day for most people, and gave a lot of headroom and longevity. Can't really say the same for cards being sold now as they pretty much only meet current requirements - especially the VRAM issue.

    • +2

Yeah but im not getting my hopes up over rumors.
Nvidia doesn't really need to sell to gamers right now with the AI boom basically being a second mining boom from their perspective, except this time it wont even flood the market with gaming cards when it's over.

      • +2

AI boom for nvidia won't last…
not in the way of crypto crash
but more do with other players also entering the AI market to compete with them.

Also do AI market need to buy new hardware every year like GPU market?

I think nvidia would still not want to lose their large GPU market share since that is still a profitable market for them
and it is their original core business.

        • Also do AI market need to buy new hardware every year like GPU market?

Definitely. I don't really understand how performance limited AI is, but businesses still will want to upgrade for efficiency gains as soon as they can to save on power costs or run more systems to make more money with the same power.

The issue with AI is the same as the issue with mining. It makes money. If something can make you money, you can stand to spend a lot more on it than something that's just a hobby.

    • Unless you have to have an nVidia for CUDA or top end performance, Intel's A series offers excellent bang for buck:

      https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/details/dis…

    • I would say more VRAM..

AND wider bus. so far I see no real reason to reach into 40X0 range. what is configured sensibly is overpriced, and what is priced accessibly is crippled..

come on NVIDIA, clean up your act

AI my behind. AI technology at this stage belongs in data centres, not at home

  • I've never heard of BPC before, what's their reputation?

    • +3

There have been deals in OzB… check out the history…

    • They're legit. Got a 4090 through them (and used Humm as well).

    • You'll probably find 50 people with complaints about them like with any store
It's a legitimate etailer though, they come up on here a lot for their decent custom prebuilt deals.

    • +1

Can vouch for them as a legit store and my experiences has been positive.
Also had to deal with a return for a faulty EVGA power supply. The process with EVGA RMA was taking awhile due to red tape and they decided to just give me a refund instead of drawing the process out any longer. I appreciated that.

  • +2

    Yeah bpc is good

  • +1

Does this qualify for Diablo 4?

    • 4070ti is on the list so it should.

      • It seems that this card is not listed on their page:
        https://www.bpctech.com.au/diabloiv

        • +1

My bad. I thought it was all 4070ti's. That's a shame.

        • Strange!

        • Can someone from bpc confirm this? I’m buying this if it does come with free Diablo 4. Thanks.

          • @kore: Do you need to get your hand on the card to redeem? The cut off date is 13 June, hope by then you receive it.

            • @Rifulreinhardt: The redemption period end on 13 July. I think we just need to purchase before 13 June. Anyway it’s out of stock now. Looking for somewhere else to buy.

          • @kore: I can confirm I received my code today after buying and picking up same day from BPC and sending in the invoice to ASUS.

  • -1

    Damn paid $1399 for mine

    • +3

      come with diablo?

    • +4

      1.1k…

      • Got to remember he has to give the GST to the ATO lol

    • +3

Bro i think you forgot to switch to your alt account.

      • +1

I don’t think it actually has been cheaper. Pretty sure only same price has been legit. Rest have been price errors.

        • Price errors ? I didn't know that

    • 3090ti also had 24gb vram.

  • +1

Good deal, but I'm waiting until Black Friday to build my next PC.

    • +1

That's a good idea as long as you don't need a (new) PC right now. Some of the deals from 2022 Black Friday (or the week leading up to BF) were all time low prices until very recently

  • -1

12 GB is pushing it. Frame Generation uses quite a bit of vram and no point having it if the card is bottlenecked by the vram limit. This card should have been at least 16GB

    • -2

      Give it a rest 🤷‍♂️

      • -1

why would you downvote the truth

        • -1

why would you downvote the truth

          I didn’t 🤷‍♂️

  • -3

When will it be reasonable at $700 sale price? So jacked up still

    • $70 is better

    • I think 990 would be more realistic.
