I thought it would be a great idea to re-share this workaround since it’s still much cheaper than Aus membership ($139.99). And with the Turkish lira being even weaker, the price it's even more attractive.

~~For Android users:~~ reported not to work anymore

Create new Google account on phone
Delete cache in Google Play Store (not sure if needed)
Select new account in Google Play Store
Add payment method and select Turkey as Country.
Uninstall Disney+ if you have it installed.
Open Google Chrome/browser on your phone in an incognito window. Set your window to desktop mode.
Search Disney+ on Google Play store in your browser.
Log in on new account and remote install Disney+ to your phone
Open app on phone and pay in TRY

For iOS users:

Create Turkish Apple ID

Go to https://appleid.apple.com/account
Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID and save.

Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID
Go to App Store and download Disney Plus app > A pop up may appear to confirm your details > Choose payment method as “None”
Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame (50TL/TRY x 13 gift cards) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.
Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code.
Open Disney Plus App > Sign Up

Turgame keeps prompting me to verify my phone number but it doesn't accept the passcode that it has sent me via OTP. Just says it's incorrect - despite it being the one provided. Then I get timeouts for too many attempts. Ive tried a number of times with different browsers. Anyone got any suggestions?

    I tried to get around it by using my google account for turgame login (rather than creating a separate login) but it still trapped me to verify my phone number when i went to make the payment. The OTP failed the same at that point too.

So I've sat on the fence about doing this for a while and finally pulled the trigger tonight, unfortunely i copied the instuctions and never came back to OzB for an update - till now.

Using Bluestacks I was unable to get google to remote install the Disney app, finally dragged out an old Nokia 3.1 and did a factory reset, that worked.

Turned out to be a waste of time as using the Disney app wont allow me to subscribe, simply says "you're not subscribed" and the button is missing. To bypass this I had to go to Disney using Chromes incognito and a VPN. Once I got to the "you're not subscribed" message I had to drop all VPN, refresh for the sub button, activate the VPN again without refreshing the page and click on the sub button, this took me to payment in TRY.

It's here I need some advice. Though the card I use for international stuff is still active online it actually expired about 8 years ago so Disney wont except it. I've been trying to setup with Paycell but am trapped trying to get a OTP which wont seem to arrive(using otpless.net).
Then I've come to OzB and spent an hour or more going through posts to see what everyone uses. OlduBil seems to be the payment app of choice, is it easy to transfer money to? Whats everyone using for their OTP?

Ive spent 2 hours trying to do this for android but keep jumping into hurdle after hurdle. After being stuck at most stages, I am now at the final payment stage after dl a apk version of the disney app. But when selecting the plan, it comes up with an error message 83 something went wrong, please try again…

Did this today 29 Aug:

Android using Disney+ app via google store, signed into Disney+ app and it did not give any option to subscribe, only log out.

Android using apk downloaded from apkmirror "Disney+ 2.8.0-rc2", managed to get to subscription (monthly / annual) but when trying to pay, got "something went wrong". Tried different credit cards and same result "something went wrong".

Gave up on Android and got an old iPhone out. Purchased 13 x 50TRY gift card from Turgame. Encountered same issue as a commenter above where the mobile OTP verification kept failing, tried again using Chrome incognito mode per another comment and the OTP finally worked. There were some payment fees so total ended up being 687.37 TRY = 40.74AUD on ING orange everyday visa debit. Received 13 gift card redemption codes via email in a few minutes. Followed the iOS steps and it all worked!

Cheers SM, the Apple Gift cards via an old iPad worked a treat. I failed many times trying the Android method.

Anyways, I grabbed the 6 x Cards off Turgame.com and the first order displayed as FAILED and then received a like email alert. So, purchased the 6 again… The first ended up processing less than a minute later. (Crap messaging with the wording Failed).

Curious to know if anyone else had to do an authorisation after paying for the Apple iTunes gift cards on Turgame.

    This didn’t worked, reached out to Disney+ live chat which asked me to update the payment on apple account which bring me back to square one.
    But finally managed to get a work around - go to media and purchase then login via turkey account - go to subscription - cancel subscription (even though my subscription was expired I need to cancel this to bypass update payment issue in iOS app) - select renewal options - select monthly or yearly depending on iTunes balance (I did monthly one to check if everything works and only had 100 try in my iTunes) and then done the sub is renewed again.
    @ISP - reading through the comments I think some of the other guys had same issue for IOS and they had to create new account as a work around so I think it would be good if you can add above solution to your FAQ.

      Without realising I had a work-a-round through chrome incognito where you could sit on the final payment step and activate a Turkey VPN to change the price from AUD to Lira with a refresh, worked for weeks. When I included the info in a post here it was suddenly "fixed" so the page would no longer load if I activated a VPN - very crafty.

Has anyone encountered an issue where on iOS, you sign up for Disney+ via Turkiye, works fine on device BUT when you try to use this on any other device, Google TV for example, it wants you to sign up in AUD and subscribe ( or resub )? If you cast from device to Google TV, you get the error "The user is not entitled to the requested media for the requested licence. Not entitled - The user is not entitled to the requested media for the requested licence".

I have tried the Turkiye Apple ID, but get the same thing, asks for payment. Each account account won't let me get past the sub screen on Google TV. On device no issues, except can't cast ( Error as above ).

Anyone have a work around or know what is going on?

  Just an update, spoke to disney+ and was a sync issue. Asked about email, other email addresses ( gave the turkey apple ID email I also use as a disney acc ) latest shows watched and sorted it out. Working fine on all devices now!

      I used the chat in Disney+ and said that I have paid for an annual subscription but when I log in on my devices it's saying to finish my sub ( step 3 ) in AUD. They asked for the Credit card I used and I said I subscribed via iTunes with an iTunes gift card, they asked if I use any other emails and gave the one I signed up with and one I have used in the past ( which happens to be the Turkish Apple ID ).
      
      I had to wait a few minutes, then boom, they said was all good. I tested in browser and Google TV and it logged in fine. I asked what the issue was and they said a sync issue.

I have been on Turkish Disney + for a year, my renewal date is coming up. I used Turgame and bought a 500 and 150 giftcard (had to use GPay method). Then I had to find an ancient, decrepit iPad. I couldn't find how to load the giftcards onto the account, because the App Store wasn't showing the logged in account. I gave up at midnight last night. This morning I managed to get the iPad to load the credit into my Turkish account. Now I wait until 26/10 to see if the renewal payment goes through…

Ok, I need some help. Today spent few hours but I am stuck at getting the iTunes Gift Card. Buying 13 X 50TL iTunes gift card via Turgame. Used this method one year ago, and successfully renewed subscription for another year from today using the same method (iPhone).

It's quite simple if you are looking to just renew subscription. Just buy the gift cards from TurGame and load the money to the TR iTunes account, you can do this days or weeks before it's due for renewal. On the renewal date it will automatically renew if you have enough credit in your TR iTunes account.

I loaded credit to my TR iTunes account around 10 days ago, cost me AUD$34.58 in total.

I had the same problem last year with Turgame, every time I try to order gift cards, I enter card details, go through to verify by visa and I get sms code, I enter it and then it loads and takes me right back to the shopping cart, doesn’t charge!
I emailed them for assistance but they said try different IP, which I did and I tried different browsers and still same problem, tried using the IYZI and the PAYTR.
My Disney subscription is almost finished and would you to get it renewed asap.

I get an error message saying VPN detected, I am not even connected to any VPN double checked.
