I thought it would be a great idea to re-share this workaround since it’s still much cheaper than Aus membership ($139.99). And with the Turkish lira being even weaker, the price it's even more attractive.

For Android users: reported not to work anymore

1. Create new Google account on phone
2. Delete cache in Google Play Store (not sure if needed)
3. Select new account in Google Play Store
4. Add payment method and select Turkey as Country.
5. Uninstall Disney+ if you have it installed.
6. Open Google Chrome/browser on your phone in an incognito window. Set your window to desktop mode.
7. Search Disney+ on Google Play store in your browser.
8. Log in on new account and remote install Disney+ to your phone
9. Open app on phone and pay in TRY

For iOS users:

1. Create Turkish Apple ID

Go to https://appleid.apple.com/account
Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID and save.

1. Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID

2. Go to App Store and download Disney Plus app > A pop up may appear to confirm your details > Choose payment method as “None”

3. Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame (50TL/TRY x 13 gift cards) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.

4. Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code.

5. Open Disney Plus App > Sign Up

  1349.90 TRY is still pretty good compared to AUD prices. It's just $66 a year + fees, vs $179.99 AUD a year

    It's $139.99/year AUD if you go ahead and it apparently stays locked at that price as long as you subscribe by 3 March.

    I'm debating it. Was going to do it at the old turkish price but this new one…. I have plex/sonar etc and can get most things. Still thinking it over.

      Same boat as you. I'm probably going to resub at that price for another year, as its the one our family uses everyday and $5 a month is reasonable enough. Will re-evaluate when it comes to renewal, as its guaranteed to go up again.

  Hi everyone, trying the iOS method now. After creating a new apple id, it won't let me log onto the App store with the new ID. I get an error message saying could not work at this time. I've tried using 4G instead of wifi and used on an ipad. Nothing works. Any work around for this?

  iOS method works, but it's at the new price of 1349.90 TRY. This new price is basically the same jump Australia is about to get in 2 days ($140/yr > $180/yr) as the plan it shows that I'm on is Disney+ Premium.

  Do we need to mark this deal as still available and update the pricing, or should we create a new one?

  I was able to renew my existing account today for 1349.99 TRY using the iOS method. I had an existing spare AppleID with no payment methods linked to it, and it was simple enough to change the address from Australia to a random address in Istanbul. The only time I needed a VPN was when I tried to "Renew Subcription" in the Disney+ app. Without VPN, I would get the "Sorry, something went wrong" error.
