wasn’t funny the first time you posted

Can we give this guy a temporary ozbargain ban so he can grow out of this phase of his life? Maybe go to some comedy classes so they can work out how to be funny?

      • +2

PSA for everyone: downvote, then use the hide button under the comment and tick the box.

        • I just report as spam. This is pretty much what it is considering the guy posted it like 40 times.

Are you farting into your hands and typing out those farts onto the internet?

  • +2

With Shopback’s 10% cashback offer ($20 cap), the price comes down to under $70. Nice.

Great! Bought 2. One I'll passthrough in Unraid as a physical disk for a VM, another I'll slot in my partners PC for file storage / Steam drive.

Does anyone know if Shopping Express has proper Australian warranty, or if samsung cares about that even.?

  • +2

it was as low as $69 (C&C) previously
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/773514

and $79 is the regular spot at the moment
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/samsung-970-evo-plus

so $76.44 + shopback 10% is not a bad deal (still not amazingly low)

    • Don’t forget the $69 low required student beans access so not necessarily widely accessible. This is accessible by anyone.

      • +1

I believe the link was $69 pickup @ PCByte, not student beans

        • But still + delivery.

          Excellent price though, regardless.

    • +1

thanks, looks good in the price. not sure if July will breakthrough $65.

      • I would go for the 2TB with double the price/storage on a single stick :)

  • n00b question, can I throw this into one of those m.2 cases and use as an external storage?

    • yeah, but it's not really cost efficient. Unless you already have the case lying around, better to buy one of those Samsung portable T7 SSD

      • +1

The T7 is definitely the more attractive package but not currently cheaper. Combine this deal with an enclosure, such as this one - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BJ23JTXX/ref=ppx_yo_d… - and you have yourself a similar offering, for less money which is also upgradable.

      • Until you hit the write cache limit of the t7.

        • Until you shove nvme into a enclosure and kill the speed, defeating the main selling point of nvme

  • Good deal. Was looking for a new boot drive as my old one was bottle necking lightroom and photoshop. This should do the trick now

  • Is this good for a synology nas as cache?

  • Are the Ram chips on a single side of this SSD? Is this drive suitable for a thin and light T14s Gen 2 Thinkbook?

  • is this good for PS5?
