    That ain't bad.
    Older tech; but still totally relevant.

    I wonder how many people are scared off by the name 'gigabyte' and 'psu' in the same product, heh.

    • Wasn’t good when it happened. Gigabyte PSUs are all good now!

    • They should be !!! The motherboard in this deal has the gigabyte backdoor still active and usable by anyone… absolutely no way I buy anything again from them

      • +1

        I've never had worse mainboard DOA rates than Gigabyte, so I swore off them long ago;
        besides that, the 'backdoor' is less scary than it sounds for most (but certainly not for all).

        The vulnerability really relies on Man in the Middle attacks, or OTHER malware, to poison the UEFI update file.
        If you're on a private network, and Gigabyte are hosting these updates; then you're unlikely to get affected for now.
        Sure, actual malware could write a fake UEFI file also; but that involves getting infected by something else first; then exploiting a vulnerability.

        Basically, it NEEDS to be patched (or ideally, removed, or at least made switchable), but it's not a reason to rip your network cable out and panic.

        Worst case scenario? Make a fake EXE in the system32 directory and deny write access; it'll never update again.

        • Thx for the interesting reply !

      Regarding your comment 'I wonder how many people are scared off by the name 'gigabyte' and 'psu' in the same product, heh.'
      May be buyers need to research specific brand & model#. Read widely ?

      • As a generalisation;
        Thats the problem, they don't need to; they have other options, so it's easy to just walk away from the lineup entirely.
        They absolutely SHOULD research, because the assumption is wrong, but without the need, they won't.

        Thats why I was wondering how many people would be scared off by the combination of those words.

    • @ MasterScythe, @ cbastien: I believe you guys are referring to 'Gigabyte may have dangerous backdoor in some of its motherboards'

      For the benefit of novice buyers, please advise a link that prove this Mobo (Gigabyte B560M AORUS PRO micro ATX ) is SPECIFICALLY-impacted.

      IF…noted the upper case… you do provide such proof, may be all users need to to is to download a patch from Gigabyte….just like we regularly download Windows patches ?

  • I don't need a case and the SSD, is there a way to purchase the deal without these components, at a reduced price?

    Edit: Also, if I have home wifi do I need to purchase the antenna add-ons for the computer to connect wirelessly to the internet?

    Do the same antennas connect to bluetooth, too?

    • +1

      Unfortunately, as this is part of a deal we can't remove core components from the build. The motherboard in this build does not come with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You will need to purchase the Simplecom or ASUS adapters we have in the configurator. The ASUS adapter comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

    Not really balanced build, big CPU bottleneck, which is bad for gaming.

    Can’t upgrade to 12th gen +with that socket either .

    • +3

      Shouldn't be a bottleneck at all at 1080p. https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/16a17E/3/…

      We also have an upgrade path to 13th gen which is $1,218.

      • 1080p 144hz I’d defs be going with the 13 gen option 👍

    • That CPU won't bottleneck a 3060ti.
      I honestly thought the exact opposite to you, and that the chosen parts are all quite in line performance wise.

      I recently finished updating a mates system, who has a Ryzen 3600 (lower game performance than this CPU) and a 3060Ti; and it laughs at both 120hz 1080p (esport titles; where you want frames) and 75hz 1440p (cinematic games, where we'd prefer the res).

      I did comment earlier it was older hardware, but I really don't see an imbalance in specs.

      I'm sorry to tell you that you are out of your deep.
      I bought this i5-11400F 3060Ti: same brand & model GPU with a slightly 'lower-tier' parts system-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758454
      OverWatch2 is a CPU intensive game, & gaming OW2 @ 1080P ULTRA, I got approx 150+ FPS (as per Nvidea frame counter) & it's as per what this system should output-> https://www.gpucheck.com/game-gpu/overwatch-2/nvidia-geforce…
      'Bottleneck' is a wrong word & should be replace with 'ultilisation'. The GPU has a slight reserve & proven via a slightly lower temp. compare to the CPU, as measured by HWinfo s/w.
      The problem is that gamers are being mislead by the gaming industry via paid reviews all the time: including 'established reviewers', read widely & read through the manipulations.

      Upgrade the CPU ? Just gaming: NO…as a guide-> https://www.gpucheck.com/en-usd/compare/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3…
      If you want a stronger system for other reasons, eg dual screens set-up & doing other tasks WHILE-gaming (eg video conferencing, streaming video) then that is a different scenario requiring gruntier CPU &/or GPU.

      Gigabyte B560M AORUS PRO has a decent VRM & thermal-strength-> https://www.techspot.com/bestof/intel-b560-motherboards/
      -> https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gigabyte-b550m-aorus-pr…

      Run factory settings only, & NO 'power limit' removal for this CPU: PSU is likely to fail & for the benefit of few more FPS-> NOT worth it.
      Happy gaming.

    • Are you kidding? I don’t think 3060ti can be bottlenecked by 11400f even I will not get 11400f in 2023.

      • +1

        @ stevelo regarding your comments '… I will not get 11400f in 2023'

        Feel free to share a system that has similar performance (CPU & GPU) & 'mid-tier' parts for $999 ?

        • i will choose 5600 or 12400f over 11400f for $20 more

  • bought previous deal and it was pretty well balanced performance wise.
    Good cable management and was nicely packaged for shipping.

    Re the stock cooler, it does fine by default, but if you want to unlock all its performance (recommended by upping power limits in bios for all core boost) the stock cooler is pretty rubbish.
    Recommend cheap tower cooler upgrade - beware ram clearance though

    • @Lonewolf1983 regarding your comments '…Re the stock cooler, it does fine by default, but if you want to unlock all its performance (recommended by upping power limits in bios for all core boost) the stock cooler is pretty rubbish.'

      I take it that you play resource demanding games @ 1080P-Ultra. Pls do some research on removing power limit of i5-11400F. What is the FPS gain & impact of such action on,
      1.increase in power draw, wattage.
      2.increase in temp. in your hardware: CPU, Mobo & PSU.
      3.on hot days: how close your operating temp. to the 'safe-range'

      Still not convince ? Take the journey & share your findings.

      • -1

        its well proven to unlock more performance in both games (up to 12%) and even more in multi-threaded applications.

        Its not much more power (not like an intel 12th/13th gen), and a cheap tower cooler is able to handle the heat and be much quieter than the crap stock cooler.
        The stock cooler was too noisy for me even at default power limit. constantly spinning up and down with load going on and off - anyone who has used this crappy standard cooler will say the same thing.
        Its made for price for people using their PC for excel and word, nothing more.

        The performance difference when doing all core loads like preview generation in Adobe Lightroom was significant.

        To refute your points
        1) - about 110w is nothing wattage wise when under load
        2) use a decent cooler (which you should even when stock), and there is actually IMPROVEMENT in temps
        3) see above, no impact.

        So please do your research, and actual testing like i have before commenting.

  • I'm currently looking for a premium build and wondering when abouts we could see a i13700/13900 + 4080 prebuilt?

    Enigma offers a lot of value but also so does NebulaPC's Ozbargain deals and I'm tossing between the 2 but leaning towards Nebula as they have 3 years warranty.

    What competitive advantage do you guys offer that Nebula doesn't?

    • +13

      Hello @quac,

      We would like to address our concerns regarding Nebula's unauthorised use of our website design and layout. It is disheartening to discover that he has completely replicated our UI and UX, without seeking permission or making any changes despite our requests. We invested significant time and effort into developing a unique customiser, and having someone simply copy it is deeply upsetting. He couldn't even be bothered to change the logo font even though it is a free font.

      Recently, we have completed an extensive renovation of our warehouse in Dural, incorporating state-of-the-art building and stress testing stations. With a dedicated team and the necessary infrastructure, we possess the capability to effectively service any warranty requirements. It is worth mentioning that we have been operating for a longer duration than Nebula, and while they operate out of an apartment, we have a well-established business premises.

      In addition to the manufacturer's warranty, we provide an exclusive warranty designed to offer you enhanced coverage. If any component in your Enigma PC breaks or is found to be faulty during the Enigma PC warranty period, we will replace it free of charge. We believe this warranty reflects our commitment to delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction. Choosing Enigma means choosing a warranty that goes beyond what the manufacturer offers—this is the Enigma Difference.

      You can also extend your Enigma PC replacement warranty to 3 years.

      • that’s why I found the ordering process and platform you guys have is actually pretty similar to Nebular. Thought you guys are relatives, all using shopify to create a online shop
