Code XJUN2023 works on this. Brings it down to $62.10

    • +6

Damn, beat me by a couple mins.

You do need to sign in to Everyday Rewards to use it though, I think anyway. Teamwork?

      • Yeah need to be signed in.

I think technically it's only meant for Everyday Extra subscribers based on how it displays the discount "Everyday Extra Discount - 10% off" but appears to work without.
No idea if they manually check it when processing? Could also be limited to 1 use per account?

        • Haha great. It worked for me, but I already placed the order :(

        • +1

I had to sign in to both Big W and Everyday Rewards to activate the offer.

  • Where are the switch controller deals!? Nothing but PS5 and XBOX :(

    • +2

Work with Switch controller but not sure $88.20 is cheap or not.

  • Are these good for PC? I have an old Xbox 360 controller that still seems to work ok on the PC with a dongle not sure if its worth upgrading or not.

Does it take rechargeable AA batteries?

    • +6

Yes works quite well with bluetooth with any PC, and other devices (e.g. android phones, iPad). Yes you can use rechargeable AA batteries (I use Eneloops and IKEA equivalent). Great upgrade from the Xbox 360 era controller. Would recommend at this price.

      • Thanks I see there is also one with a USB C cable any point paying the extra $10 or is it just $10 for a cable in the box and I could use one of my own many usb c cables lying around if I ever wanted to go wired?

        • +4

Any USB-C cable with data wires (most, but not all of them) works with them for a wired connected to either Xbox or PC.

      • I agree, I have xbox360 and upgraded to xbox one. Im using this to upgrade to series x for my PC and Android.

    • can use wireless with dongle bought separately for $20

  • anyone here use xbox controller for FSX 2020? does it 'work' on the PC version of the game ? cheers

    • Yeah mate, I’ve done so before without any issues (when I couldn’t be bothered getting out the Hotas).

  • +2

Amazon are starting to price match. Only blue is $69 currently.
I would share the link but system doesn't like it 😬

    • Thanks, ill add it to description

    • Still no match for the Nintendo console, maybe waiting for their prime day

    • nice

  • +4

Should be stackable with this for extra $30 off?
    https://www.afterpay.com/en-AU/BIGW30OFF

Also this or PS5 dual sense controller? I mainly do emulation

    • This rated best controller all time? Was gonna use for PC as well lol.

  • Ok most of you won't know, hoping someone will, will these work with the Amiga 500 mini console?

  • look at this and the newly released starfield edition extra $40…..

    • What do you get for the extra $40?

      • A new paint job/ design.

    • Isn't that sold out already? Trying to buy one as a gift but can't find stock anywhere

      • +1

In stock on Amazon and EB

      • Also directly from Microsoft, 8% cashback on GCs is not nothing.

I'm curious why it's $10 more than any other limited/special edition they have released (unless I'm wrong), the Forza and Anniversary edition were just as intricate and were $100.

        • Maybe they spent a lot more on starfild than forza

          • @ce5himm: On the game itself? Seems kind of irrelevant.

Maybe inflation? Maybe just greed. There was an argument to be made if Bethesda was a 3rd party and they would get a cut, but MS own them now.

            • @Hiphopopotamus: They want to make more money out of the starfield IP so it's relevant. Lol

        • 8% is ok. I think last year that was 20% everyday from shopback for a very long period. I bought my xsx using the GC.

          • @ce5himm: 10% (it lowered to 8% months ago), more if you manage to combine them with bonuses.

I guess if they see the profits from the controller as part of the ip then that kind of makes sense, though it will still be a first and they haven't done the same before.

            • @Hiphopopotamus: LoL you are too serious, mate.

              • @ce5himm: Just responding and trying to be accurate.

If it was 20% standard then it must have been at least 2 years ago, I have purchases in 2021 and have only ever seen it at 10%.

            • @Hiphopopotamus: 20% was straight away. Don't have to combine with any other offer.

  • Thanks OP, got a pink one for wifey
Personally, I cannot use this controller anymore after playing with Elite 2, I'm so used with the extra pads at the back while playing shooting.

Edit: It's better to buy from Amazon AU imo, what I saved with the Everyday card, was taken by the delivery fee while Amazon is $69 free delivery ( I've Prime ) and it would be $1 cheaper.

    • +1

Yeah, still only blue on amazon at $69 though but ill update title so its clear its an option.

  • ffs, i tried signing in to rewards, to use the code, but apparently forgot my password. and the password reset isnt sending me a damn email. I might have to try later. someone pls reply, to remind me later.

    • +2

ping Try again in the morning ;)

I have honestly thought the xbox controller is the best choice for PC gaming since the 360 era. I have however recently purchased this exact controller and have noticed worrying quality issues in terms of button click/stickiness and general material feel on non chassis components.

    • I mentioned this in another comment late last year, but…

Just be aware… I went through three of these in 12 months. Faulty LB on each one of them. Used LB as the handbrake on Forza Horizon games; I wasn't excessively rough, either.

IMO, the new Series S/X controllers have worse build quality than the previous XB1 controllers. They look and feel cheaply made in comparison.

  • Can use with nin. Switch?
