This CPU is mighty powerful, PassMark 31312.

    • I mean, it's ok considering the PassMark goes up to 126,045 (for context).

Ah, I get it now. What a beast.

    No OLED, no Bueno

Doesn't OLED screens suffer from burn-in?

  • new Razer Blade 14 announced this morning. looks good.

it'll be like, 2k more expensive than this tho lmao.

    • Yep, info dropped along with all the info on the AMD Zen 4 Phoenix chips - assume they were holding up for that. Might explain why this laptop has seemingly 0 publicity so far (can't find a single review, and the two videos on YouTube for the Intel equivalent are just infomercials with no substantive content).

      • 4060 2400 USD

For $2400 you can almost get a M1 max with 64GB and 2TB.

for this, and to be told to upgrade your own damn storage. i can hold off i reckon.

I went with the Slim 7i.

More money for a lighter package, all aluminium, 99whr battery and better screen.

  • damn Ships within 5-6 weeks

    was ship same day yesterday

    • I ordered with 5-6 weeks expected but it was shipped today

      Anyone got theirs yet?

This is for a family member for CAD work but it looks better than my $1600 Legion 5i 2060 which has been great

      • I got mine yesterday (ordered 10/6).

        Any questions?

        • Getting mine today hopefully

How's it so far? Battery life? Performance? Weight?

Have to say I was tempted by some of the Yoga deals but those don't have a good enough video card for 3d so have to lug more weight

          • @s3n: I've had it chained to a charger so far so I don't have anything to add on battery life. Performance I'm happy with - not that I've got much to compare on but it's quite a significant upgrade on my previous AMD 4700U laptop for video encoding (plus having the Nvidia hardware encoding capabilities is a big plus).

Weight, it's reasonably chunky compared to a small business laptop but it's not wildly heavy. Definitely consider getting a GAN USB-C charger if you're taking a charger with you because you'll save a huge amount of weight compared to the regular power brick.

Otherwise - so far, so good. While the screen doesn't have incredibly high brightness I did think it was quite pleasant, and high refresh rate is nice too after many years on 60Hz screens.
