    Is this only for women?

    isnt 'period undies' just… underwear?

    • +4

They are more absorbent than regular undies, can be washed and used again.

    • +2

You're one of the guys still looking for the right spot, eh? 🙄

    Bloody great deal

Humour not welcome here I'm afraid. Read the stifling room.

  • What is the reusable period of these undies?

    • +3

There's no time limit - they're reusable, period.

To think the "tampon and pad industry" only ever existed because it was previously a social taboo to menstruate into one's underwear. This is probably the most low-tech product to ever flip a multi-billion dollar industry on its head.

and yes; my username checks out.

It's hardly flipping it on its head. The big players are already playing both sides. It's like the tobacco industry getting into vapes.

      • None of which are mutually exclusive. You're right about vapes-tobacco and the existing market leaders making moves, but Kodak and Fujifilm also made digital cameras - look how that turned out. I'd also argue vapes are a bigger threat to big tobacco than plain packaging and taxes.

My point being, the playing field will be far different and far larger. Bonds and numerous other huge clothing brands are jumping in to take a share of this new market. There are many more facilities around the world that can easily churn out period undies than can churn out tampons, and you make a lot less profit selling reusable products in a red ocean market than single use products in a blue ocean market.

Rags were used in ancient times. Modern industry just turned it into disposable rags since people don't have all day to do laundry, but we're thinking more about the environment now so we're moving back to reusable items. Period undies make more sense now since we have sleek modern fabrics and washing machines too.

Yes, periods can be taboo but I think pads and tampons were more of a hygiene/convenience thing anyway. After a heavy flow day, who has time to be washing all the blood out of every single fabric item?!

      • Why is period taboo?

  • -3

They only come in red colour

    • +5

I think you'll find black is the most common colour

  • is this ok for men too? sometimes when i laugh to hard i pee a little.

    • +1

Yes! Also, Modibodi do a range for men that targets this and more. It might be more suitable for your needs as there is more absorbent stuff toward the front of the brief. https://www.modibodi.com/collections/men

While this is not my preferred brand (their largest size is too small for me - or maybe I am too large for their largest size), this is a great deal. Thank you for sharing!

  • Do these period undies come in Mens XXXL with y front for convenient access?
