The LOQ is Lenovos attempt at rebranding their ideapad gaming lineup and is a lower end model compared to the Legion. With that said, solid build quality to be had here, compared to some brands budget lineups (totally not looking at you MSI). The 4050 is technically a bit slower than the 3060, but the inclusion of a mux switch in this machine, as well as the fact that its a full powered rig (not that full powered means much this gen for these chips) compared to the lesser powered machines common to this range which all in all means you are still getting good performance out of it. Proper zen4 phoenix cpu as well with a good screen to boot.

If I have to pick something about this, is that even with the phoenix chip inside, the battery life will leave something to be desired, with the smaller than average 60wh battery, that and the disassembly process is a bit more complicated than the rest. See jarrods reviews on the intel sku here.

      Thats very much debatable, having dealt with, and having seen other peoples horror stories, I cant see any laptop brand having a perfect track record. There will always be issues that some folks will encounter and lenovo is far from the worst in this regard.

        Yep, they were fine for me. I had a mobo die on my lenovo L340 after a few months, had no problem with warranty replacement. 15 day turn around during 2020 covid lockdowns.

    I just received the i5 with QHD screen using the Ed discounts, and while early days, very happy with the way it handles Death Stranding.

      Considering 7640HS is Zen 4 Phoenix. There isn't that much of performance difference between them relative to the TDP. Plus the 7640hs has dedicated AI circuits so the new applications can be accelerated whilst it can't on 13th gen.

    also if you have access to Lenovo PRO for SMB, price is the same, but quadruple rewards (instead of triple in public store). LenovoPro is on CR website, so should also track.

      you should take this deal. 40 gen is only not worth it if the price isnt right.

      The price is more than fair here given the specs you get.

        bit late to the party mate.

        for next time: make sure you have no adblock or really any disable tracker, anti privacy etc whatever extension on, make sure nothing is in lenovo sites cart. go to the lenovo site through cashrewards, navigate through the site to find the model you want, buy it and it will automatically be tracked on the cw website in a bit. You will have to wait for a month or two for lenovo to approve the cashback after it have been tracked (this is to make sure you didnt return/refund the product etc).
