EOFY2023

Kava, now legal in Australia, is readily available at Australian Kava.

We've just got back from visiting the Kava farms that supply us in Vanuatu, and the tribes that source it there. In celebration of our return and EOFY we're offering a 30% off sale (Ending July 1).

Use the code "EOFY2023" at checkout.

Kava makes you feel relaxed, helps you sleep, and until December 2021 it was illegal in Australia.

Whether you're new to Kava or have been sipping it for years, you'll appreciate the relaxed, serene sensation our Kava brings. It's also a great aid for those dealing with social anxiety.

Here's what you can get with the EOFY2023 code:

500g Premium Kava Dry Root Powder (Gorgor/Borogu Variety) (AAA GRADE) - Cut from $125 to $87.50.

(Value Pack) 500g Premium Strength Kava + Re-Usable Kava Strainer Bag (AAA GRADE) - Reduced from $130 to just $91.

1kg Premium Noble Kava Dry Root Powder (Gorgor/Borogu Variety) (AAA GRADE) - Marked down from $210 to $147.

(VALUE PACK) 1kg Premium Noble Kava + Custom Engineered Strainer Bag - Priced down from $215 to $150.50.

2kg Premium Noble Kava Dry Root Powder (AAA Grade) - Slashed from $415 to $290.50.

We also cater to larger orders. We do suggest grabbing a kava-specific strainer bag for a better Kava experience.

All our Kava products come from Vanuatu, specifically from farmers on Pentecost Island. They're quality and safety tested, and known for their high strength.

Remember, high strength equals a more bitter taste, but more relaxation. So pace yourself, don't operate heavy machinery, and enjoy responsibly.

Dosage varies by individual, but 10-50g per session per person is a common starting point. You could with 50g for the first time, then adjust to 10-30g per session as you become more accustomed to it. It's worth noting, Kava has a reverse tolerance effect, so the relaxation effect intensifies over your first few sessions.

    What a rip

    • The way Kava works is that brands will often mix in branches of the tree (That don't do anything but fill out the mix) with the roots of the plant (which do provide the effect everyone chases).

So in our case, we only buy the real bits - providing the real experience. Which costs more for the end user, but they're getting the best effect!

Can you suggest a cheaper source? (Interested to try).

I haven't tried this brand/company so can't comment on their product, but oh my god Kava tastes so bad.

I've tried many of these types of products and powders, but can't believe just how bad Kava tastes.

It was like eating burnt mud, and it makes your tongue/mouth numb which is weird and discomforting.

Overall, the taste/aftertaste/discomfort outweighed any benefits and I still have the pouch left on my shelf.

    • Sorry to hear that! That's something we are trying so hard to help with.

While we were over in Vanuatu this weekend, we pulled one of our plants out and made the drink on the spot. It was milky, and tasted genuinely delicious.

When it has to be made into a powder and brought to Australia it can get a little bitter.

If Australia allows it (they decide if Kava is legal anymore in December this year) we will try to import fresh kava and open a Kava bar - worth trying that stuff!

But overall, the more you have it, the better most people end up finding the taste.

  • Any free sampling :)

    • Maybe at a pop up kava bar!

So from the cost I assume it's a once in a while product?

50g of dry powder sounds like a lot of dirt to eat and $8+ dollars per serve?

I don't see many people buying $100+ of powder without tasting or trying it before… You really need to offer one dose packs

    • ^ this guy knows what consumers want and how to do business

  • I'll be your ozbargain guinea pig, send me a trial pack and I'll give my genuine review.

  • why was it illegal?

is this the brown liquid thing i've seen, or am i thinking of some other fijian drink?
