Is this is something a brand name and good quality or there are something better than this available in the market. Anyone have the knowledge please share. Thanks.

      Also following.

Willing to spend like double or more if there's a reputable 'quality' product that others may know about.

Would love to know as well!

I have this set. It’s pretty basic but does the job for what I need it for. Basically removing links, and replacing batteries in quartz watches.

Would I be using this to service an expensive Swiss or similar watch? No, I’d pay to have it serviced.

But if you are just changing batteries in a daily beater watch then it’s a good enough set. Buying this set and batteries turned out to be cheaper than having batteries changed at the shopping centre watch shops.

Another consideration is it’s marketed as 147 pieces. Most of which are pins. There are only 4 or 5 items that I actually use.

If you want "brand" name you're looking for Bergeon stuff and it's EXPENSIVE or Horotec which is slightly less EXPENSIVE or like Seiko/Citizen brand stuff.

      • ^^^ This…Bergeon.

If you're a serious hobbyist or just like the best tools, just keep an eye out on eBay and in used markets. It's not quite so painful on the wallet, and doesn't seem to attract a lot of bids. You can probably put a nice set of watch making tools together for under $1k if you're patient.

I don't think professionals would actually use this particular 'Professional' kit, but maybe there's some useful bits in it.

This is the standard price, bought mine last month for 1 cent more. These kits are very disposal, tips broke after 4 adjustments. But better than brining the watch to a shop

    • +3

      You pickle your watch?

  • +5

Most of the stuff you'll never use. Better off just buying better individual tools that you need on Aliexpress or eBay.

    • Thanks

    • Agree. I bought this kit and the only tools I’ve used are the ones for small screwdrivers to replace g-shock batteries and the pin-punch thing to shorten watch band links.

  • Cheaper on ebay, and you don't need prime/spend over $39 for free delivery.

This is the worst kit you can get. I have one and it's terrible. The screw drivers literally break from edges when being used normally. Do not trust your expensive watches with this kit.

Watch repair kit: $19.98, the watches you'll ruin?

    Priceless.

    • Any suggestions on better quality kits?

Bought……..anyone want their Rolex servicing for $49.99

    • Ill do rolex for $19.98 no guaranteed.
Onne job and the tool is free

Im holding out for a 168 piece kit. NO DEAL

  • Time to start a side hustle/second job to afford a roof over the head

  • It's useless, a lot of stuff broke after 6 months, hardly any use.
Only really need a few items like a case opener etc. Only useful item was the plastic thing to hold the watch band

  • bought a set recently and the quality is atrocious. the finishing on the screwdown caseback tool's changeable pins is rough and therefore would slip and scratch if you tried to open a watch with it.

    • I'm disappointed in you for buying this, you are no longer part of my goon squad.

      • +1

oh no, does that mean i'm part of the coma squad now??

mine was a 185 piece kit…..although i got way too many spring bars lol
