How many in a 1kg bag? Weird unit of measurement for cloths

    • I got a bag once and it was one giant microfiber blanket that looked like a tortilla. I got a couple more for my dogs

Moreover, is this lighter or heavier than 1kg of bricks?

They are assorted so every bag contains different set of rags. Mine had 32 rags of 3 different colours with size around 40x30cm. I noticed that other bags sometime had large piceces, sometime I saw even offcuts of 5x5cm size. You need to go through it and find what looks most promising. (which may be quite hard as it is vacuum compressed.

  • Not really weird. There are those big bags (like 10kg) of cloths with various shapes and colors. But I probably would prefer to buy 20pks over 1kg bag if both at decent price. Will check it out later in my local Bunnings anyway.

Needed something to clean the screen of my 1.65kg worth of Dell EOFY laptop.

Check carefully when you pick your bag in store.
I have seen moisture and mould inside on multiple occasions.

I think the “1kg” is aimed at cleaners and workshops that have no desire to stand for ten minutes deciding between the Sabco 3 pack 15x15cm and the Mr Clean 4 pack 13x13cm.

    • The 1 and only time I had a kitchen cleaner come in on a vacate clean used 1 dirty Microfibre cloth from this brand for the whole kitchen - actually done a reasonable job but the cloth was totally done after that. The kitchen was mostly clean before he arrived except the cooktop a little and the oven hadn't been done in a while.

During COVID we had to work in the office during lockdowns and the cleaners would come twice a day to wipe every desk for each 12 hour shift. I quickly learned to be at the desk when they arrived so I could politely refuse them using their dirty microfibre cloth that they had been using for weeks to wipe down the desk with a small spray of anti-bacterial and do it myself with some paper towels.

        • Some people have no idea how to clean

        • The worst thing on this is, that antibacterial sprays are not intended to kill viruses. There is a chance they will be effective, but similar chance they wont as they are not antiviral. This rule you had in office likely caused more problems than it solved.

Got a pack today from my local store when my kid was doing art craft with a friendly young staff. It has 30 pieces of 30cm*40cm cloths, if not 31. Also got scissors for 5c.
