You might have better luck than I have had with Orient, but there is no Orient service centre in Australia.

    • +3

This is sold via Amazon AU so they would have to comply with ACCC laws and deal with any warranty claims.

Edit - Just noticed this green dial gold case model for $164.10.

Cheers WatchNerd. Hope you don't mind but have rolled this up into the description above with other options.

      • This one been in my cart for ages now tempted - maybe a better buy than the green gold cadisen 🤔

        • everytime i see a watch deal, you're here. how many watches in your collection now?

    • +1

Must have been very rare event to have a problem. Never had a problem with hundreds of cheap & expensive watches.

  • +4

Have the classic, then found out a 38mm exists

    • More than double the price though

  • +2

    Beautiful

  • +14

Beware, it comes with a UK power plug, not an Aussie one.

    • +3

What the, why does it come with a plug?

      • +2

Must be a new plug in hybrid model.

      • +4

The listing includes four identical photos of uk plugs so… it must come with FOUR plugs?

        • I guess we can complain if it doesn't come with one, or four.

  • Orient make nice watches but don’t understand why they put such a garbage leather strap on them. Total junk.

    • +3

Maybe they thought most people will swap it out anyway so it's better to keep costs down.

    • +5

The strap is the most easily replaced part in a watch. Just buy a tonne for different styles. I would prefer a high quality watch for cheap that comes with a cheap strap than an expensive strap if replace anyway.

What really puzzles me is why they put blue hands on such a classy looking watch? What's wrong with black hands?

Looks like blue date as well.

      • +3

Blued hands are fancy, for whatever reason.
I'm assuming the hands on the Bambino are painted/dyed rather than blued.

EDIT: This is a pretty quick read which explains blued hands.

It's interesting you say blue isn't "classy" and I understand what you mean from a colour palette perspective.

Blue is technically the "classic" colour for watch hands because good watch hands were originally blue from the way the steel was treated.

        • Thanks for the reasons behind, it just looks a bit out of place.

  • Very confusing. Title says it's automatic, but the movement is listed as quartz. Which is it? I'm referring to the white and black version

    • +1

      Its an automatic.

  • Got this watch few years back, very beautiful!

  • +1

Just confirming. This does not have glow in the dark/illumination?

  • But does it run Doom?

  • Anyone seeing pictures of a use charger in the Bambino?

  • +3

Don't forget 4.2% cashback with Cashrewards or Shopback.

Been extremely tempted by the suede model with the grey face and rose gold indices for a while now. Don't think I can resist any longer!

    • +2

I think it would look good on you.

  • +1

    Hmmm - Do I need a 3rd Bambino?

Already have two of the gen 2 with (SS Case / White Dial / Gold Hands) and (SS Case / Cream Dial / BlueHands).

Probably one of my favorite low key dress watches to wear.

    • I actually can't decide between the two. What's your opinion on them and which one gets more wrist time?

      • +1

Be a two timer - one on each wrist.

        • +1

dammit. thats so good but so unhelpful

  • I have classic bambino cream dial. It is a beautiful watch. Just be careful when wearing every day as it has mineral crystal and can easily be scratched.

  • any idea if this is gen 1 or gen 2 bambino with the hacking etc?
did some quick google and the general consensus was that 'water resist' is gen 1- but maybe someone more experienced may have a thought?

    • These are gen 2/3. Gen 2 with the roman numerals. Gen 3 with the general markings.

      • +1

ah i think you might be referring to the "versions" which has difference in the dials. I'm referring to "Generations" which affects the mechanics inside

        • I think Gen 1 is just winding, Gen 2 has the hacking.

  • +2

The Bambino was my first automatic watch many years ago now and it was love at first sight.

Elegant and understated it doesn't look out of place either dressed up or casual. There is just something about the domed crystal and how it makes the second hand look curved at the edge that is mesmerising.

Be careful though, once you get a Bambino it can be a gateway drug, as my now rather large watch collection of mostly automatics, including several Orients, is testament to :-).

  • +1

Looks like the classic in cream just dropped another $20 to $171.66, even better.

Just a shame that there's no sale on the white with rose gold which looks amazing as well

    • Yes spotted that too and requested a price difference refund

      • Is that through Amazon or through your credit card company?

        • Just contacted chat, they won't refund the difference, they asked to buy at current price and return/refuse the delivery and it will be shipped back to them for a refund.

    • Showing 185 for me. Where are you guys seeing these prices? I can't find anything for 164 either as mentioned in the title.

      • Was just yesterday, I think, deals expired unfortunately

  • Prices are goneee now
