  • Insane deal

  • Thanks bought 1. Too good of deal to pass up.

  • Anyone share some insight and comparison between this and the SAMSUNG 27" Odyssey G50A QHD Gaming Monitor?

    • +4

One is 32 inch, one is 27 inch

      • Thanks for pointing that out, I would have missed it if it weren’t for your insightfulness.

Other than the obvious size and cost differences, anything else notable?

        • +1

This one has NVIDIA G-Sync which is usually only found in higher end monitors like $400+

Edit: This one also has USB-C docking which is usually only found in business monitors. Most people won't use this feature on a gaming monitor but basically if you had a laptop and not a desktop PC, you could connect all your peripherals into the monitor and then anytime you want to "dock" the laptop, you would connect it to the monitor via a single USB-C cable and it will automically hook up your display, mouse, keyboard, audio, etc

          • @EsteemedCuckold: The Odyssey g50A also has G-sync but the usb c port is cool.

            Thanks

Dell has 2 HDMI. Sammy has 1.

  • Ordered one but didnt get confirm email for 2 hours and not showing order status. Everyone same?

    • +1

I got a confirmation email instantly. Delivery is expected to be 22/06.

      • Just ordered again lol

  • How does this stack up as a general use monitor at this price point for the screen size and resolution?

    • 93ppi is equivalent to 24" 1080p. Windows is designed around the idea of 96-98ppi or something. Overall it'll be totally fine for average person, I used a 32" 1440p 60hz for years and even gamed and was content, since the size is the main draw.

  • +1

Was hoping to see this kind of monitor sub $300 by now

  • I got this monitor last deal.. Great monitor for 1440p gaming.

  • +1

need to resists….only have 2 eyes…you don't need 4 monitors to look at excel files….

  • Perfect timing, just when I'm looking for a QHD monitor, thx OP, bought one.
    Estimated delivery 22/06 as well.

Now need the pc to match.

For anyone considering this and the Samsung G50A monitor, I have both and can recommend the following:
Dell has better connectivity and ports option, not to mention USB-C. Better firmware too. Gaming and quite standard (in a good way)

Samsung has a slightly better image quality and contrast but sometimes has connectivity issue.

If screen size is not a thing, go for Samsung if you want image quality, go for Dell for productivity

    • What do you mean by connectivity issue on the Samsung?

      • If I want to connect to my laptop via display port, my Samsung sometimes doesn’t show signal, need to replug the cable etc. HDMI is slightly worse. Not sure if it’s my unit only.

Connectivity on Dell is superior tho.

    • which one for normal office work ,video streaming and occasionally connect PS5?

      • go for this Dell one. It has USB-C if you want to connect devices or hub/docking station

        • yes already pull the trigger for this one. having 2nd thoughts after seeing the comments. Thanks

    • I’m interested in what you mean by connectivity issues? Overall for gaming, what would you recommend ?

      • For gaming only, go for the Samsung, it has better pixel density and image quality and you can experience a much better gaming experience. I recommend a UHD, like the G3223Q on a 32". Please note that if you connect it to play PS5 or xbox, it can arise further problems. Once my friend came over and it took so long for his PS5 to connect with my monitor.

      • Samsung warranty is a nightmare.

  • Brought it 1 year ago for around $ 550. Haven't faced any noticeable issues so far. Great monitor for work and gaming.

    • Hey, can you tell from your experience that this is not curved monitor so does it make any difference in use or vision? Thanks

  • this or LG 34WQ75C - 34" Curved UltraWide QHD Monitor ?

i want to upgrade my current set up with 2 x 27 FHD screen to just 1 screen for WFH, no gaming. can i split the screen to 2 for the 32 inch same as the 34 inch ultrawide?

    • I would go for the ultra W LG (if you don t mind the cost).
You can split this 32" into 2 but still nothing like 2x FHD monitor experience.
BUT overall not sure if it is an upgrade , but if you just want ONE monitor only then it may be an option.

      • i would like to open 3 windows at the same time where 2 x 27 inch have the gaps in between which annoying. there is also LG 34WP75C which is Va panel around $549, would you consider VA panel vs ips panel which is $150 extra?

        • Paid extra for IPS, VA panel is only good on high-end monitors. Especially if you want it for WFH only.

    • you can split the screen to 2 for the 32" yes.

32" can be a bit limited for WFH setup, especially if you change from 2x27". The LG 34" is good and I recommend thinking about 2x32 if you have enough space

      • Or 32"+ old 27". But 2 same size monitors look better!
Yes, I would go for 2x32" (and skip the lg one)

  • any thoughts on this one? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/782040

I am looking for an ultrawide 34-40" under $1000

  • Will this code void the 14% cash back if I’m buying a vostro desktop? Thank you

  • Was keen, but I'm now struggling with the fact the dell monitor arms do not support 27" or higher =(

    • What Dell monitor arm do you have? The dual version? The single handles up to 38". The limit on the dual is mainly due to the fact that they don't have enough space between the arms to allow for bigger screen sizes.

      • I have the single dell one MSA20. I just realised I could just buy another single and do not have to get the dual arm version (MDA20).

  • Can anyone comment on flicker due to PWM on these?
    Thanks

  • Please PM me if anyone has spare Dell Coupon code. Thanks.

  • I bought this monitor.

My Delll monitor addiction is now 6 Dell screens in teh 34 and 32" range… 3x gaming, 3x productivity. (3 boys + home office for me and the boss)

Is there a way to use this screen as a KVM - What I mean is the desktop connects via the DP port, and the laptop via the USB C cable. The keyboard and mouse plug into the screen and the downstream is into the PC or laptop?

I note only 2x USB 3… but keyboard has hub plug.

    • Only the device plugged into the monitor's USB-C connector can 'see' the monitor USB ports.

      • ah ok, thank you
Ok, so no real downstream port like on the other monitors I have (and they have the non USB A connector… forgot the version number, but the square looking USB plug)

  • +1

Wish it had better PD over USB-C :/

    • Yeah it’s a shame but at this price it’s forgivable.

Not a deal breaker since most of my use will be non intensive so it’ll probably keep the laptop battery topped up enough anyway.

      • I'm not a monitor Guru, but was looking at AOC Q32P2C 31.5", any thoughts? cos I really don't want to connect another cable just to charge the computer :D

        • Me neither. First one I’ve ever bought!

250 nits brightness probably the biggest issue. Other specs lagging behind the Dell (except PD) but maybe not an issue if not gaming?

  • Anyone hooked up a MacBook pro on to this via USB-C? Does it work well with 1440p?

    • Got mine yesterday and testing with a 14" M1 MBP. 1440 seems pretty good, but not as good as the macbook display or if hooked up to a windows machine, unsurprisingly. Need to use scaling for 1440, 'which may affect performance' but doubt this will be a problem for my use.

I understood the specs weren't ideal for mac going in but bit the bullet anyway and happy I did. Internet negativity seems blown out of proportion, or maybe I just don't know better. I don't find text hard to read or interface to big/small or regret the purchase. 4K (or 5K) would be better but for same feature set you're looking at much more $

15W PD keeps the MBP battery charged, with light use, slowly. Lenovo laptop doesn't even register the power .

      • Thanks again watts, yea people seem to say 1440p aint great for macOS etc. so still contemplating. Didn't think buying a monitor would be this complicated :D

        • Tell me about it. After reading endless stuff for and against literally all options I was over it so jumped on this before getting carried away.

To 'upgrade' I figured it's something like a U3223QE for ~$1K (adds 4K, 90W PD, but loses gaming performance). There's other brands/bargains of course.

          good luck with your contemplating
          .

          • @watts: Now I'm looking at the LG 27UP850N, which is around $450. But it's not a hardcore gaming monitor plus it's 27". But has everything including 4k.

      • I am also using 14" M1 MBP, I found that when I using the USB C cable, the display preference can only showing at most 1920 x 1080 with all the available frequency, but 1920 x 1080 is terrible. Connecting using HDMI cable is able to display at 2550 x 1440 but the display is not stable (flashing quite a bit). I have similar flashing issue with other Dell 27" 4K monitor with HDMI connection.

After googling for a while and find that this Youtube suggesting 2 apps which can fix the USB C resolution issue.

Overall, I am very happy with the 32 in 2550 x 1440 resolution.

I am going to buy a USB C to DP cable to test with my other 2 x 27" monitor to see if it can fix the flashing issue.

        • Check the ‘show all resolution’ option.

          Mine didn’t show 1440 initially.

  • As an old bugga, who has lost touch with the latest and greatest technology, would this monitor suit me as far as just being used as a monitor? I'm not a gamer, so I am more interested in being able to read, do spreadsheets, watch the occasional movie etc. Will my 7-year-old PC be good enough to drive this monitor?

If not this monitor, what other suggestions would you have for a similar size?

    Cheers

    • works fine with my 7yo laptop with on board graphics so your PC should be fine. You'd be hard pressed to find a better new option in this size. Nice picture, great build quality. Only downside might be the lack of build in speakers if you need those.

  • Has anyone been able to update the firmware successfully? I've tried everything and the firmware update utility cannot detect my monitor.

  • Unfortunately this monitor does not support 1440p on the PS5 for anyone interested.

  • Told the wife I need this monitor for work and the 165hz is better for my eyes… Just like when I purchased the 7900XTX so I can run Dual Monitors "for work"…

  • This deal is over now, regret did not get it

  • how does this compare to the samsung M70 32inch 4k smart monitor ?

  • Ordered on 03JUL23
    Shipped 05JUL23
    Expected here 06JUL23
